Buy it if your life runs on smoothies, sauces, dips, and quick prep for one or two people. Skip it if you need family-size batches or heavy blends that demand a larger motor and container. The smartest appliance is the one that earns its place before you even turn it on, because in a tight kitchen, unused power is still clutter.

The Vitamix One has been RETIRED by Vitamix. I hope they come out with an even better personal sized blender at some point. In the meantime, the best personal blender I recommend most is the powerful NutriBullet Rx (can heat soup as well!).

This is the Vitamix ONE, and we're excited about it because - well, the hardest question for us to answer for the last decade of doing this was - "It's just me, I live alone, what do I get?" and so Vitamix knowing this, their first try was the S-series. Tiny footprint can do everything, the problem was, the performance wasn't very good.
