A: Yes, the BlendJet 2 is designed for smoothies and protein shakes with ice or frozen fruit, but it works best when ingredients are cut smaller and blended with enough liquid. It is not a substitute for a high-powered bench blender for dense mixes.

At that price, The blendjet 2 is still worth it. And your money at this point is going to Ollie's or another reseller so don't worry too much about supporting blendjet if you're mad about being burned.

It starts chopping everything with surprising power. As you can see, for a battery powered blender, this thing is a lot stronger than you'd expect. When I'm done, cleaning is honestly the easiest part. I just add a bit of water and a little dish soap, blend it for a few seconds, and rinse it. No disassembly, no scrubbing. It basically cleans itself.

What we liked: The BlendJet 2 is the quietest and lightest blender we've ever tested. BlendJet markets it as ‘whisper quiet’, and whilst it’s not silent, it’s certainly much quieter than many other blenders on the market. Reviewers compared the noise levels to a normal conversation (64 decibels), and we found the same on test.

The BlendJet 2 is actually the quietest blender we tested, but it is also the smallest and the least powerful. It does a decent enough job on fresh smoothies and shakes, and it's a good price.

A quick note about the video above: The Blendjet 2 works great but it didn't fully blend all of the seeds from the raspberries or strawberries or all of the chia seeds. It did blend all of the fruit though. There were no chunks, it was smooth and delicious.

But, when the red light comes on, that means it's clogged. So, if you put too much liquid into it or too much ice, it can get jammed. Um what I don't like about it is if you put too much liquid and everything inside of it and too much ice, it will get jammed. Ice alone isn't its strong point. Um let's see one more thing real quick.

December 2023 – BlendJet 2 Portable Blenders: Approximately 4.8 million BlendJet 2 portable blenders were recalled because the blades could break during use and the base could overheat or catch fire, creating both fire and laceration hazards. Before the recall, the company had received 329 reports of blade failures, 17 reports of overheating or fires, 49 burn injuries, and one laceration injury.

These models were recalled because of malfunctions that caused them to injure users when the blades broke off and, in some cases, catch on fire due to the base overheating. Blendjet is now facing lawsuits because of the serious injuries that resulted from the defective blenders.

Or you can open it and just take a fork or something and remove it, but this is the only thing that I do not like about the BlendJet 2 that it gets stuck up under the blade if you have like a big frozen piece of fruit or something. But, like I said, only thing you have to do is shake it and you can continue with blending your smoothie.

My partner's Blendjet 2 mini blender is dead with an alternating blinking red purple LED pattern. She had a terrible customer service experience. We should probably just let this die, but let's try to fix it out of spite. I think it just needs new batteries.
