A first-generation experimental upper with zero multi-year ownership data, and early owner feedback already flags a fit regression versus last generation. Every outlet loves its first impressions, but that is not enough under an ownership lens.

The Under Armour Drive Pro Clone in both spiked and spikeless are the most complete performance golf shoe the brand has produced. Rather than reinventing the original Drive Pro, Under Armour has refined it in all the right ways, keeping the excellent traction and ground-force technology while upgrading the fit, comfort, and overall look. Comfort is outstanding thanks to the HOVR foam midsole and the auxetic UA Clone upper, which stretches and adapts around the foot. It gives the shoe a close, almost custom-fit feel, working well for different foot shapes without feeling restrictive. The curved heel and reduced padding also help make it easier to wear over a full round.Read B bunkeredgolf bunkeredgolf · 26.8K subscribers · Jan 2026
Now, the Drive Pro clone I have my hand today, we're going to start from the ground up, just like Under Armour did with this. Now, if we look on the sole of the Spikeless and the Spiked, we have a nice new kind of silver coloring along the TPU sole of the Spikeless and that of the Spiked as well. The traction you get from these is very impressive, which we've seen.Watch N
The Under Armour Drive Pro Clone is a genuinely innovative golf shoe that delivers outstanding comfort, stability and traction. Its auxetic upper (thicker when stretched and thinner when compressed) adapts to the shape of your foot during play before returning to its original form, offering a near custom-fit feel straight out of the box. Combined with excellent grip in wet conditions and a noticeably improved aesthetic, this is one of the most impressive performance golf shoes currently available.Read T
The Under Armour Drive Pro Clone Spikeless isn’t trying to replace the spiked version; it complements it. This is the shoe I’d reach for in summer, on links courses, or on days when I want to go straight from golf to wherever’s next without changing footwear. It looks sleeker, feels lighter, and wears more like a trainer, while still delivering genuine golf performance. If I lived in a warmer climate or played firm ground year-round, this would likely be my go-to.Read G Golfmagic Brad Nash · reviewer · Feb 2026
The basis of the Drive Pro Clone's stability and comfort lies in what Under Armour calls the Swing Support System: which combines an outsole traction setup, an elastic midfoot band and a combination of two different density HOVR midsole foams to help you generate more ground force throughout your swing. Available in both spiked and spikeless options, the Drive Pro is one of the most acclaimed high-end golf shoes of 2026, and for good reason.Read G
I’ve written about the Drive Pro Clone spikes before, and you can read more about that here , but I really think Under Armour nailed the look with this limited-edition version. It’s very subtle, unlike some other shoes that have popped up this week, and they took a slightly different route than most.Read G Golfmagic Brad Nash · reviewer · Jan 2026
