If you’re looking for the perfect balance of featherlight weight, airline-approved size, and surprising durability, the Travelpro Maxlite 5 is my top recommendation. This softside spinner absolutely nails what international travelers need most. At just 5.4 pounds, it feels impossibly light when empty, saving precious weight for your actual belongings.

In the affordable price range, we believe that the Maxlite 5 carry-on is the best choice for a fabric suitcase. There are other options available from Delsey, Samsonite, or Ricardo, but they aren't as good as the Travelpro Maxlite 5.

This is the Travelpro Maxlite 5 carry-on suitcase, and I really do believe it is the perfect carry-on. It weighs in at only 5 and 1/2 lb, which is super light compared to other suitcases of this size.
