Delsey Paris Chatelet Air 2.0 28"
Ranked tenth, the weakest pick: a real maker with repair heritage, but the heaviest and most ornamented pick here, with more things to break than any pick above it.

Long-term owner reports consistently put its latches, zipper hardware, and shell below what the styling promises, and Delsey's warranty support is middling when something fails. It reviews well on looks out of the box but not over years.

I would choose this for longer leisure trips and for someone who enjoys having everything neatly organised. The vanity case is particularly useful for hotel stays and road trips.Read L Life Tested Life Tested · 512 subscribers · Apr 2026

The ten-year warranty covers manufacturing defects in wheels, zips and handles only, and Delsey states plainly that it excludes damage caused by third parties such as airlines and hotels. Ownership is also opaque: the company has been majority-owned by the private-equity firm Argan Capital, with Partners Group, since 2007, an auction was called off in 2017, and Delsey names no current owner on its own site — so treat any confident claim about who controls it today with caution.Read H
But I would not tell everyone to spend this much money. The Chatelet Air 2.0 is from Delsey Paris's more exclusive collection. The brand has less expensive options too, and some of them use the same basic expandable hard case idea. You may not get the same hardware or finish, but you are still getting a Delsey Paris suitcase. And after using the brand's luggage, I think that is worth considering.Read
