The BE230 gives you two 2.5 GB ports, and not going to lie, most routers at this price skip those entirely. A quad-core processor handles traffic cleanly, and testing shows it can hit nearly a full gigabit on 5 GHz at close range. >> Picking a log. >> Picking a large. >> Okay, so here's where the picture gets interesting. The Archer BE230 is an excellent upgrade for anyone looking to improve their speeds without breaking the bank. However, it’s not ideal for internet connections over 2,000Mbps. You’ll need to look elsewhere if you have or want to upgrade to a superfast fiber plan .Read B
One complaint, this router doesn't have the newer 6 GHz band that is found on more expensive Wi-Fi 7 routers. What does that mean for you? Essentially, it's not the fastest router on the market, and it can't handle the higher bandwidth that large households need. Look, if there are tons of users and devices in your household, you might want to look elsewhere. But for everyone else upgrading from WWatch O
Our take: A smart low-cost Wi-Fi 7 pick, but not ideal for multi-floor coverage unless paired with another BE230 or replaced with a Deco mesh system.Read R
However, the router isn't without its downsides. While it excels in performance, the design is fairly bulky compared to some other routers on the market. If you're looking for something more discreet, this might not be the ideal choice.Watch F Facebook Anonymous participant · owner

If you understand its limits, it's actually a solid upgrade. But if you're expecting full Wi-Fi 7 power everywhere in your house, you might be disappointed.Watch B
But there are tradeoffs. There's no 6 GHz band, which you do get on more expensive Wi-Fi 7 routers. And once you move further away or through walls, the signal definitely drops off. So, is it worth it? Yes, if you're upgrading from older Wi-Fi 5 or 6 and don't need a massive whole-house setup. For the price, it's hard to beat.Watch T
The ArcherBE230 is one of the most affordable Wi-Fi 7 routers you can buy right now. With BE 3600 speeds, you get up to 3.6 gigabits per second total throughput, 2,882 megabits per second on 5 GHz and 688 megabits per second on 2.4 GHz. Because it's Wi-Fi 7, it supports MLO multilink operation for better stability and speed. 4K QAM for 120% more data capacity. MultiU for improved efficiency.Watch P
Now, a small point of contention, or maybe just a wish for the future, is that this is a dual-band router. While it's Wi-Fi 7, it doesn't tap into the 6 GHz band, which is where some of the newest Wi-Fi 7 devices will really shine. So, while it's future-proofing your network, it's not quite the full triple-band Wi-Fi 7 experience.Watch T
but let's be real. It's not perfect. This is a dual-band Wi-Fi 7 router, meaning it does not include the 6 GHz band. So, hardcore gamers or tech enthusiasts might want something higher-end. Still, for most users, this router delivers insane value.Watch
