For most women over 40 starting creatine for the first time, Thorne Creatine is where we'd begin: a clean, well-dosed micronized monohydrate from a brand whose NSF Certified for Sport facility sets the bar in this category. If your priority is the cleanest single-ingredient label from a German Creapure source, Momentous Creatine is the close alternative. If your priority is the lowest defensible cost per serving while you test whether creatine is worth keeping in your routine, BulkSupplements Creatine Monohydrate is the honest budget pick (third-party tested, NOT NSF). Creatine works gradually; the fairest test is 4 to 8 weeks of consistent daily dosing before you decide.

This powder has been my creatine supplement of choice for nearly two years, and I've been impressed with how it performs. It mixes easily, is truly tasteless, and doesn't have any of that gritty texture creatine powders can sometimes have. If you're new to performance supplements, Thorne's products are a reliable starting point, designed with a focus on minimal, clean, and transparent ingredients backed by clinical research for safety and efficacy.

Thorne Creatine Monohydrate Powder earned the top spot on our tested list of creatine powders — and it was also the top pick from both Scheinman and Garay — thanks to its ease of mixing and third-party certification. In addition to being tested for purity and potency, its NSF Certified for Sport status ensures that each batch is screened for substances banned by most competitive sports organizations.

This is not a scam product that sends you nothing or fake ingredients. But what you should know is what it actually does versus what hype sometimes makes you expect. Thorne is a well-known supplement company with a reputation in the industry for quality control, clean ingredient sourcing, and third-party testing. So, their creatine powder is manufactured to meet label claims and purity standards instead of being some mystery blend with unknown contents, which already separates it from scam or shady products that cut corners or add fillers.

Thorne Creatine is the gold standard for purity-focused creatine supplementation. Creapure source material + NSF Certified for Sport make it the top choice for competitive athletes. For general fitness users, the quality is undeniable but the premium over ON's Informed Sport-certified product is hard to justify on performance alone.

What stands out here is that it's NSF certified for sport, meaning it's tested to confirm there's nothing on it that's banned by major athletic organizations. Thorne has also been around since 1984, and they're used by over 100 professional sports teams.

It's simply micronized creatine monohydrate without added flavors, sweeteners, or unnecessary fillers. It mixes fairly well in water or protein shakes. Although, like many creatine powders, it can leave a little residue if you let it sit too long before drinking it.

That is the biggest pro to it in my opinion is just the lack of texture. It dissolves super easily in water. And so far, I've really been enjoying it here. Of course, with any supplement, benefits are going to vary from person to person.

Thorne Creatine is an awesome product and I'm going to tell you why. So, Thorne is a product that does third-party testing and they are making sure that these items are, you know, safe and without products in them that are not good for you. They're trusted by professional athletes, which I appreciate. I want to know that what I'm putting in my body is safe. Uh so it's manufactured in the US and it is the creatine monohydrate. And right, did I say that right? Monohydrate? Yes. And they say that the product is used for brains and nerves and also sports performance. Um you dissolve it in 8 oz of water or juice or whatever beverage you prefer.
