The thing works great! Definitely recommend. Tips: If you do have somewhat high and loose mulch around your trees, I definitely recommend manually creating keep out zones. If you let it self discover the mulch, it may drive up on it and sink into it (getting stuck). Had this happen twice out of 10 trees. It sees metal fencing such as rabbit guards and chicken wire alright.Watch N
Now, the mower I opted to use on this property is not a four-wheel drive mower, even though I usually say you need a four-wheel drive mower, but it is a three-wheel drive mower and I'm really excited to check it out. This is the Sunseeker X7 Plus Gen 2 Elite. >> I'm going to have my buddy run this mower all summer long. We've got a bunch of obstacles, some of them move, broken down truck.Watch 2
In our hands-on test, we let it roam in a medium-large yard and it handled the entire space with battery to spare. After mowing, it will automatically return to its base for recharging once the battery runs low, then can resume if needed for really big lawns. So unless you have an estate-sized property, the X7 Plus’s range should be plenty.Read K
So, here's my verdict. The Sunseeker X7 is the real deal. It's not just a robotic mower. It's smart terrain conquering assistant for your yard. As you can see, the X7 handles up to 1.5 acres with ease, offering a cut height range from 0.8 to 4 in.Watch P
While the mapping setup of the Orion X7 was suboptimal, we were really surprised by its vision and AI capabilities once the mower was running; they worked as advertised—even at night. The Orion X7’s obstacle-avoidance performance was the best of any robot mower we’ve tested to date.Read A
No more sweating under the sun, no more pushing a heavy mower, and no more giving up your weekends to yard work.Watch T
The SUNSEEKER X7 is rated for up to 0.75 acre of mowing area. That makes it a better fit for medium lots rather than large properties. If your yard routinely exceeds that size, it may need more sessions or pauses to finish.Read B
None of that is a concern with the Orion X7.Watch A and it didn’t disappoint. Article
The reviews keep rolling in from happy customers all across Europe 🌍✨ Smarter mowing. Effortless lawns. Happy homeowners.Read M
This is a huge convenience, especially when you make small changes to your gardens. You can also later add a flowerbed, move a vase, or change the furniture. You understand that with a system that doesn't require a perimeter wire, all modifications are very easy: there's no need to dig, no need to pull cables, no need to call anyone. Open the app, redraw the border, and you're done.Watch F Facebook Article

But that’s really the only issue in an otherwise outstanding (and affordable) all-wheel-drive robot mower.Read T
And probably the best feature of this mower has to do with this antenna right here. So that antenna connects to the RTK on top of this.Watch F Facebook Article
how it is an upgrade for properties with slopes!Read R
I really like the principle here . Simply a separate power supply. The nearest power outlet is more likely to be closer than the robot's charging station. A technical implementation that I would like to see from other manufacturers as well, where the marine robots rely on RTK antennas to navigate through the garden.Watch R
And so, when Sunseeker reached out to me about reviewing this new X7 Plus Gen 2 mower, I quickly agreed because I wanted to see for myself just how good their mowing system is for larger, more complex lawns like mine, where I have a variety of trees and other obstacles like solar arrays and a fire pit. So, before we put this mower to work, let's quickly talk about the key specs.Watch T
The thing is really awesome, works incredibly well, and the best way to describe it well, I have a very complex yard. A lot of obstacles, a lot of things on the ground. My yard is not level by any means. Holes, all sorts of different things. I do not have just grass. I got lots of weeds and creeping charlie and dandelions and you name it.Watch T

This, well, as it sa- it says is the Orion X7 Plus from Sunseeker, a robotic lawn mower that I am super super excited to test out. Now, today, we're going to unbox this guy, see everything that comes with it. We're not going to do much more outside of that. So, this is the unboxing and unveiling of what's in this box and how it actually ships to you.Watch B
It is a really good selling mower. The important thing with these is the all-wheel drive and the cut quality is what draws people to it. It's a dual disc. It uh has that the floating deck on the mower and it has a low profile which uh you know I was just saying that it can go underneath trees a lot better or underneath picnic tables and stuff like that.Watch B

Based on the design and capabilities of this model, one of its biggest strengths is how well it handles challenging landscapes. Right away, you notice the all-terrain conquer system working alongside a powerful all-wheel drive system to give the mower the traction it needs on difficult ground.Watch H
What makes the Sunseeker X7 wireless robot lawn mower stand out for the price is how much of the mowing process it automates. It is designed for medium to large yards up to 3/4 of an acre. So once everything is set up, it handles regular mowing with very little input. That means you spend less time pushing a mower and more time enjoying a consistently maintained lawn.Watch S
Um, which actually is extremely good because this was uh pretty rough grass yesterday. Uh, and just get a feel for for how the machine navigated in um in difficult areas with lots of tree cover and uh it's managed that very well as well. So, you'll notice something a little bit unusual about the way the machine turns. Um, it's sort of backwards for a robot.Watch

The whole system itself looked really sleek. It's very modern, very futuristic, almost a race car-like, and it's definitely a significant step up from your traditional mower. Weight-wise, I was surprised for how light the mower was. It's weighing in around 30 lb. Even though it's really big, it was really easy to handle.Watch S

Now, it has some features I really like that are different than other robotic mowers, but then it also has some downsides I want to cover as well. So, let me kind of walk you through um those different things and show you how it performed. Now, the setup I have right over here by this other robotic mower. It is uh simple to set up just like all the other mowers quite frankly.Watch R

Overall, while the rear wheel issue was frustrating, the responsive and effective support from Sunseeker made a big difference. It's a reminder that reliable after-sales service is just as important as the product itself.Watch T
From my experience using it for 6 months, it's a strong mower with a few quirks you should know about. Key features that matter to me are wire-free navigation, real obstacle recognition, and traction that actually works on uneven turf. The X7 skips buried boundary wires and uses RTKGNSS, which is a local base station that locks in precise satellite positioning, so it knows where your lawn ends.Watch T
I have been using it on my lawn for about 6 months and at this point I know exactly what I like about it and what's still annoys me. It is one of those products that made sense to me more after real use than it did on paper. It is not flashy. It does not try to impress with a fancy app or a lot of polished extras.Watch L
The tail swings wide when it turns, though, and I noticed scuff showed up fast along the back edges after a few days navigating near hard borders. If your yard has tight rock beds, narrow walkways, or sharp garden walls, plan your virtual boundaries with a little extra buffer so the tail doesn't kiss every edge. Navigation is where the X7 separates itself.Watch S

Still, if you want top tier performance, the Orion X7 is the clear winner. Number two, Segue Navo i 110N. This model focuses on smart mapping and obstacle avoidance, recognizing objects in real time. It offers an excellent balance between price and features, making it more accessible than premium competitors. The app is intuitive and beginnerfriendly. However, it lacks true all-wheel drive, so verWatch

In terms of cut quality, the X450 is better and I attribute that to the 6 multilayered blades per disc (vs 3 for the X7) and more powerful cutting motors. The edge mowing does not seem perfect as there were areas where I thought I mapped to cut that were uncut, but I think large plants in the beds are very close to the border and caused the mower to not cut up to the edge.Read T
My X7 suddenly started missing large swaths of my yard for no discernible reason. Seems to have occurred after the most recent update. My lawn is thick St Augustine grass so I think it’s confusing resistance as a barrier which makes it turn around. I’m currently using the Ecovacs A3000 and it’s doing a great job but I still hate to give up on my X7!Watch F Facebook Anonymous participant · owner
Mine seems to to lack gps accuracy. Sometimes up to one mower with off track, trying to mow the foot path.Read
