Steam Deck LCD
Valve's support and parts ecosystem make it a superb long-term owner's device, but the 2022-era chip means performance headroom runs out before its build quality does.

It is the coasting-on-old-reputation trap: still sold and cross-shopped on brand recognition, but the LCD screen was mediocre at best and performance falls short in heavier games. The OLED model is meaningfully better for a small outlay more, and PC Gamer has already dropped the Steam Deck line from its budget slot in favor of the ROG Xbox Ally.
