The audio and color was also amazing. I thought I'd share hoping this will help other folks. It makes sense that off-loading the DAC to another device would improve the UBP-X700 performance. As a Gen-X'r my mind doesn't fully wrap around that HDMI is not just a dumb wire like an RCA, but an actual two-way link between computers.

It looks nice and the TV series are well built, the quality of the plastic is there, there is even a mount to hang it on the wall. The soundbar comes with a remote control like this and judging by the number of mode buttons, there are a lot of them. Why did the keys for the group seem so unusual to me? You can adjust the volume as you want, right down to the micron. Chicco, and I like this.

And spoiler alert, G700 sounds terrific! Soundbar display has three different brightness modes and is quite clear enough. But because there as some hefty grill bars in front of the screen. From certain angles, it's a bit hard to read. You get five capacitive touch buttons on the top which in the darkness are quite useless because they flush with the body and you can't actually feel them.

While it does support Dolby Atmos, it doesn't deliver true overhead sound due to the lack of upfiring speakers. Instead, down mixing Atmos into stereo. That might be a letdown for audio files chasing immersive 3D audio, but for its price point, it still offers a strong cinematic experience. One of the standout aspects of this soundbar is its ability to make dialogue crisp and easy to follow.
