Scuf Instinct Pro

I IGN Reece Bithrey · reviewer

It's more expensive than a lot of other, newer controllers (including Scuf's own Valor Pro that builds on the good work the Instinct Pro laid down), but I still feel confident enough to give it a whole-hearted recommendation after my extended period of use.

There’s a new Xbox Pro Controller option and it ain’t cheap, but it sure is shiny. Let’s talk about what’s new in the SCUF Instinct Pro, and how it compares to the Elite Series 2.

The SCUF Instinct Pro takes the proven Xbox wireless platform and adds the pro extras a serious player wants: four removable paddles, instant triggers and a premium build. Here is what it does well, and where its limits lie.

With the instinct and instinct pro, scuf has gone from one of the worse paddle designs in premium controller history, to one of the best. After the recent acquisition from corsair, quality control has been tightened up, and tons of R&D have been done to ensure a better rear button design That is more durable, and all four buttons can be covered simultaneously.

The Xbox Elite Series 2 is a great controller, but the Scuf Instinct Pro is just a bit better. If you're looking for the best controller for Xbox, then you should definitely check out the Scuf Instinct Pro!

The controller is made out of a soft rubber material, and it feels very comfortable in your hand. The buttons are also very responsive and feel great.

If you've ever played on instant triggers, you probably don't want to go back. They're very nice. They're nice tactile feeling. If you don't know what instant triggers are, it's is basically like a mouse click but for your trigger. So instead of going all the way down on your controller like this, all you have to do is just click it. It's a lot faster.

The biggest reason gamers look at the SCUF Instinct Pro is control. A standard Xbox controller already gives you everything you need for gaming, but competitive players often want additional buttons that allow them to perform actions without taking their thumbs away from the analog sticks. That's where the remappable back paddles come in.

Now, if you guys remember, or if you don't, from a while back, I got this awesome new Scuf Instinct Pro because I really like the Scuf Instinct Pro. And it's a little pricey, and I had a broken paddle on my old one that was past warranty. So, I'm like, "You know what? I'll get a custom one.

The SCUF Instinct Pro has been a great controller , but there is no denying it has some problems .

So, that could be a turn-off to a lot of people, because some players do love remapping, for example, the trigger. If this is the zoom in your game, you might love having it underneath. I love having it right here when I play certain games. It's just a lot easier for me to play having the zoom on my weapon right there.

I'm not convinced or sold, despite how cool the controller is.

Both are top tier choices, but they cater to slightly different preferences.
