The Hoofer Lite takes that proven formula and strips it back to its essentials, shaving weight while retaining the comfort, durability, and smart design that made the Hoofer name synonymous with walking golf.

Ping have taken the best parts of the Hoofer golf bag and stripped away some extra weight for a more pleasant carrying experience with the Hoofer Lite. Comfortable straps enhance the carrying experience and although I questioned the inclusion of only four dividers, I found that my clubs remained well organized during testing thanks to the space provided. None of my clubs got stuck when taking them out, not even my putter which has a thicker grip. We really liked the big pocket down the side, which easily fitted a full set of waterproofs with space to spare, but the beverage pocket and golf ball pocket were a little small. However, these are minor concessions in a bag designed to be lightweight and easy to use.

If you’re looking for a new lightweight stand bag, then the search can end here. It has lots of pocket space and a comfortable dual strap, making it easy to carry around the course. I can tell that it is lighter than a full-size Hoofer but it feels just as tough. It’s a great buy. My advice for all those who carry is to get themselves kitted out with a Ping Hoofer Lite and have total confidence that it will be a long-term investment in your golf game.
