Ping Hoofer
Best Overall in MyGolfSpy's 2026 test of over 90 bags, from a line that has been refined for years rather than redesigned yearly. That is exactly the profile of a bag still on shoulders five seasons later - the safest multi-year ownership in the category.

The category's default recommendation, but the hype is no longer earned: a 2026 14-way owner reports it is not the best bag ever, and MyGolfSpy's 2026 test highlighted the Hoofer Lite, not the Hoofer, among its standouts. The Ping Hoofer Lite is the better buy in the same family.

Men's Health Jeff Turbett · reviewer · Mar 2023 The Ping Hoofer has been one of the best stand bags for years because it's simply solid at what it does. The comfortable double strap carrying system is intuitive and simple to use, the leg mechanisms are smooth and have never caused me issues, and there are plenty of pockets and storage for both walking and riding. I've logged lots of miles walking with this bag over my shoulders, and one standout is the water bottle holder—it's positioned in a perfect location for me to reach slightly down with my left hand to grab and swig while I'm walking. The stow-away rain hood is also extremely handy and has saved some wet rounds over the years. While neither of these features are exclusive to the Hoofer, they're done in smart and high-quality ways that make this bag a standout.Read V VDS Rides N' Ramble VDS Rides N' Ramble · 21.9K subscribers · Jun 2026
It is the Ping Hoofer stand bag. Guys, is this the best golf bag money can buy? Probably not, but for 200 pounds, I don't know if you can get one better.Watch M
MoreSports R Y · reviewer · Dec 2025 The Ping Hoofer has earned its reputation as one of the most functional stand bags on the market through decades of continuous refinement. You get 16 pockets with 22 litres of storage, which means you can carry everything from waterproofs to extra gloves without leaving anything behind. The bag's five-way top divider keeps your clubs organised, while the redesigned club-guiding base prevents tangling at the bottom. This bag works equally well on your back or strapped to a trolley, making it a genuine all-rounder for UK golfers who vary their carrying method.Read U Unlimited Golfer Lab Unlimited Golfer Lab · 10.3K subscribers · Aug 2026

National Club Golfer Max Mcvittie · reviewer · May 2026 A Ping Hoofer golf bag to most golfer’s is an absolute classic. It’s a product that you almost don’t want to see change as it already ticks all of the boxes. This years Ping Hoofer hasn’t changed much visually but it’s new colourway certainly caught my eye.Read P Punched Greens Golf Punched Greens Golf · 1.4K subscribers · Jul 2023
