What I did not quite get is can the mega1 actually handle a 4500 Watt surge or not? or is that just marketing? What I will use for this will be is only hooking up a sump pump and nothing else. Probably gonna be about 3500 to 4000 watt surge. And as you know sump pumps will be kicking on and off every few minutes under a real deluge, so it's reliability under surge is really important to me.Watch W
So, it should be able to power nearly everything that you want to power something with like a power station. So, let's do this unboxing. I've never had a power station through this company before, so this is exciting. It looks like it's in there. Maybe either the box is upside down or something.Watch A

I purchased a Oupes Mega 1 due to YouTube reviews, price and functions. Plus company has office/warehouse here in Calif not 35 miles from my home and one in GA. Heard good reports on customer service. Do not care about lights or cordless phone charger. Unit has what I need for my purpose. Will be looking into home backup power from them.Watch U
It's a well-designed little power station that will power most of your everyday household items and has many features generally only found in larger power stations. It's being released in September at a fantastic price. If you're looking for back-up power in the event of an emergency or on-the-power for outdoor activities like camping, check out the OUPES Mega 1.Watch S
I have both - reviewed both - and the Mega1 is a ton better. Not even close. Mega has more expansion, quieter, more powerful and charges twice as fast! Exodus 1500 feels like it was rushed and I am not sure why they even made it. Their Exodus 1200 is decent. But also slow to charge and those fans! So loud. LOL.Watch E
After testing this Mega 1, I am VERY Happy with the performance of it, and I believe this is a solid piece of gear for your prepping needs.Watch T
I have the Mega 1 and it works great. The fact that it is expandable to 5,000+ watts and the low price convinced me to make the purchase. It’s very good insurance should the power go out. I definitely sleep better knowing that I have a few of the bases covered.Watch A

Oupes Mega 1 Solar Generator. An upgrade to the older units for sure!Watch S
While that is true for you know, for some stuff, this new Mega 1 Lite actually has some upgrades over the regular Mega 1. So, it's kind of an interesting naming scheme, you know, we'll do a we'll do a full direct comparison to the regular Mega 1. Again, later in the video. Let's just talk about what you do get with the Mega 1 Lite. So, the first thing is really the inverter.Watch D

In my opinion, the Mega 1 is built for quick, heavy hits of power and fast turnarounds, not for sitting all day pushing a space heater. If that sounds like your use case, keep listening. On looks and feel, it's compact and sturdy for what it does. The shell is plastic, but feels tight and well put together with a centered handle that balances the 28 lb weight better than I expected.Watch D
On paper, it looks like a small powerhouse, and in practice, it mostly is. From my experience, the build feels solid for the weight. At around 28 lb, I can carry it with one hand without thinking twice, which is a big deal when I'm moving it between the garage, the car, and the backyard. The dimensions are compact enough to fit under a bench or in an RV cabinet.Watch N

Is the Oupes Mega 1 really both affordable AND powerful?Watch A
These batteries are great, but they’re not miracle workers. It’s very important to understand just what they can do through testing. However, also take into consideration that ambient temperature, how full it is, how often you open and close it, etc can greatly change the performance results. This test was done under ideal conditions, so keep in mind this will be near optimal performance.Watch T
The Oupes Mega 1 makes a compelling case at sale pricing. But whether it's the right call depends on exactly how you plan to use it.Watch C
Hi Evan, I thought that your review was pretty comprehensive and I ended up purchasing the Mega 1. Unfortunately I’m unable to connect it to my WiFi and of course that’s the only way to install firmware updates. Were you able to? Also, the app was clearly written by someone with poor English language skills and I’m thinking you could cover apps in more detail in any future reviews.Watch R Rinoa's Auspicious Travails Review unit from Oupes Rinoa's Auspicious Travails · 133K subscribers · Oct 2024
Teardown and review of Oupes Mega 1 LiFePo4 power station. Great power but poor efficiencyWatch G
I know you folks are well meaning with your support of the OUPES products, but just a couple of days ago I watched a relatively new YT channel review a new Bluetti power station, and he mentioned the problem he has with his OUPES station, which he likes and even reviewed in another video, but his problem is in getting the company's customer service department to help him.Watch E
I bought two OUPES MEGA 1's and I am thrilled that I kept the boxes they came in. Both failed within two months of use. One won''t turn on and the other will not network connect and two of the 110 outlets failed. Two strikes and I bought one more to make it three and these two will be going back after I receive and operate the third for one month.Watch S
I'm a little surprised that Oupes came out with the Lite version of the Mega 1. They give you a few more things like over the air updates, extra surge and 140 watt USB C. Then they take some things away like the expansion battery option and some output ports.Watch D
The downside is because it is a 2000 watt inverter the idle consumption on it is pretty high and with only a 1024wh if you leave it on it will chew into the capacity pretty fast.Read O
The application for the Mega 1 is hard to use. I have been trying to figure it out all day. They need to have a video in how to do it on line.Watch O
I would love to know if this is typical or if there’s some way to tweak settings or such to improve the idle consumption? Please advise!Watch R
Yikes! That idle drain is something else. I was on board to get one until that.Watch M

I have the Oupes Mega 1, and when it hits 20%, it drops output to 400 watts. I checked with Oupes, this is a feature, not a bug. This is a big fat no-go for me on this unit. I also have the Exodus 1500 that I find to be a better value, larger battery, 1500w continuous output, normal power cord, and can use 1500w from 100% to 0% if I want.Watch T
Using a ceramic heater at both 1,100 watts (full heat) and 550 watts (half heat), I ran both units through real-world load tests to see exactly how they handle solar vs. grid power. The results were the same for both: these units do not reliably prioritize solar over grid — and that's not a flaw, it's by design. Here's the bottom line: the Oupes Mega 1 and EcoFlow Delta 3 are well-built portable power stations designed for camping and travel use. They are not engineered as true home backup systems with solar priority. If that feature is non-negotiable for your off-grid setup, you need to be shopping for larger units that specifically advertise solar priority — I'll tell you exactly what to look forWatch E
Also how loud is the fan on the Mega 1. I have a Exodus 600 and the fan is really loud when there is a 100 watt load on it.Watch E
