Great review of a great product that is now so much better. The River 3 Plus means us apartment dwellers now have the option of using one unit and a battery while also using our vehicles to recharge a different battery.

With less than 10ms transfer time, it seems like this would make a perfect UPS for the home office, a NAS, a router, and more!

I have two of these River 3 plus with the EB 300 expansion batteries ….i use them in my stealth camper….they are superb.

Ive shopped around over the last 8 months, and now own two River 3 plus with the EB300 expansion batteries….

The most interesting thing about this new River 3 Plus is that it has a USBB port on the back and that's for computer UPS functionality. Now, you could always use an EcoFlow power station as a computer UPS, but the one problem is when the battery level gets low, it's not going to trigger the PC to shut down in a safe manner.

Um, but if you're comparing it to the EcoFlow River 3 Plus here, um, it does come up short. Um, so they both have 600 watt inverters. Uh, the Bluey has 288 watt hours, the EcoFlow has 286 watt hours, but the EcoFlow has a couple of, um, options that you don't get with the Bluei.

The EcoFlow RIVER 3 Plus checks all three boxes at a price point that undercuts most of its competitors.

It works flawlessly and has a sleek, modern appearance that anyone would agree; looks incredible. I tested it on a high-draw space heater and the Ecoflow River 3 Plus did a phenomenal job at powering it with ease.

End up to buy other one of EcoFlow river 3 plus for my router WiFi and Beestation NAS, Camera .

I'm actually really impressed if you can't tell. All right, an update. We are about probably 30% into the um wash cycle. It's doing a little bit of a spin now. And the river 3 plus there's the output. I saw as high as 45 there.

This beautiful power station right here. So, what comes in the box? So, first and foremost, of course, you get your very thick charging cable right here. And it's stated that it's for EcoFlow River series only. Not sure why it says that, but it does have this weird piece right here. I don't know if this is meant for with UPS. I'm not really sure, but it's a very, very thick cable.

This looks like an awesome unit and a huge improvement on the River 2 that I have.

I bought an EcoFlow River 3 Plus portable power station after seeing some reviews. I got the version from Costco that has two portable power bricks included. Watch as I go through an unboxing and my first impressions on the design and features.

My EcoFlow UPS feature stopped working after 3 days. Sent in for warranty. Got brand new replacement. Now the UPS is shutting down once a week (the AC output turns off). Kind of annoying. I now have it in series with a dedicated UPS so that I also have AVR. The Bluetti has been running 2 months straight so far without any problems. Not happy with EcoFlow thus far.

My EcoFlow River 3 plus failed after 3 days. The UPS feature stopped working so I had to send in for warranty. Customer service was good and I got a replacement unit. The new unit’s UPS feature has stopped once in the past week (hopefully just a small glitch). My Bluetti Elite 30 V2 has been flawless so far. Because of that, I also grabbed a Bluetti Elite 100 V2.

I'm tired of spending money on Lead Acid batteries to replace dead and dying UPS batteries, so this seemed like a good alternative, and it is, but maybe not in every situation.

I'll just mention I had (have) 2 of these, the units would randomly reset, in which case the AC power to the plugs would not reset and my modem / router / TV would just shut off. Calling the factory was easy and sending photos of the issue was helpful (note I was lucky to catch the issue on video as you don't know when this might happen).

So, the real question is whether the pricier EcoFlow, with its expandable battery and extra ecosystem polish, actually earns the difference, or whether the cheaper Bluetti covers everything you need. By the end, you'll know which one is worth it for your setup. Let's make it clear. Let's start where it counts most for this audience, the UPS switchover.

I'm planning a similar setup for my PC and fans (approx. 400W). Since the River 3 Plus internal battery is only 286Wh, and the XT60 input is limited to ~168W, it seems there is a 232W deficit. Mathematically, wouldn't the system shut off in roughly 75 minutes? How do you manage high loads for longer outages with this bottleneck?

One BIG reason I got it (and why I got it free), was it being advertised as a UPS, but as of now, their proprietary software only supports Windows 10/11, and two Synology NAS models. Kinda sucks, because my NAS (UGREEN DXP 4800+) doesn't support it since the River 3 Plus is not a USB HID-compliant device. ugh.

Not a finalized version. I can't connect an additional battery and an 800 watt alternator charger to the ecoflow 3 plus at the same time, given that there is only one port. I think this is a big mistake by the engineers and the company that didn't make this device fully mobile.

As of this, the River 3 Plus has all the features I want with enough power to run a refrigerator at the absolute best price. My mom got me a gift certificate to put towards a power station for Christmas. I will be using your Amazon affiliate link.

but the bad part is that for another 150$ you can just get the delta 3 classic which is even bigger and has way better inverter, river 3 plus is just better for powering smaller wattage devices due to smaller inverter power usage.

You may not be interested in this but … For SHTF time I was testing out different charging options for the water 3+. I can take a charge to the additional battery USBC port and it charges fine.

This unit is definitely a good starter, but if you need to buy the extra battery, then you might as well get a bigger unit. That will be cheaper and at the same time have more KWH.

If you know you need to power medical equipment for a full night or run multiple devices for a full day, the River 3 Plus at 286Wh or the Delta series are better fits.

If I’m not mistaken, my brother bought one of those. He said he couldn’t run his CPAP and a small fan with it so then what exactly can you run with it?
