I’d heartily recommend the Nikon Monarch M7 8x42 for this reason. Of course, you could opt for one of the other three model variants (8x30, 10x30 or 10x42), which are of equal quality. However, if you are using these regularly for stargazing then we’d perhaps advise against the 8x30 model only, due to the light restriction you would see with the smaller 30 mm objective lenses.

The Monarch M7 is the most comfortable pair of binoculars we tested, and looking through the lenses feels like peering through a high-powered window—free from the distortion and tunneling that plague many designs. The M7 also comes in at an approachable price, and impressively, there are no meaningful sacrifices in quality. For hundreds—and sometimes thousands—of dollars less than premium competitors, they deliver comparable performance. While the M7 does lag behind some models in low-light brightness at dawn or dusk, enough color comes through to discern fine details like feather patterns on brightly colored birds.
