The built-in 20-watt speakers should provide great sound without immediately needing a soundbar; however, serious audio enthusiasts will likely want to connect an external speaker. The projector also handles focus and keystone correction on its own, so you donβt have to fiddle around with any settings after turning it on. Where some user reviews note the PJ40 Pro falls short is fan noise. In a smaller bedroom or quiet space, the cooling fans are noticeable enough that it could be distracting during quieter scenes. NexiGo includes an adjustable fan speed setting, but dialing it down means the projector runs warmer. For the money, though, the PJ40 Pro is an excellent choice that rivals more expensive alternatives.Read T
The NexiGo PJ40 Pro is the clear winner in 2026, and other than a loud fan when it's used in its highest brightness level, the PJ40 Pro is an absolute budget masterpiece with top-tier brightness, contrast, image processing, input lag, and a genuine Google TV smart OS.Watch N

Known bug: the fan may cycle on and off during sleep mode. We have confirmed with our engineers that this behavior is currently normal when running Google TV in sleep mode. The device continues to dissipate heat while in standby, as required by Google. This will be addressed in an upcoming OTA firmware update planned for April, and we are awaiting further details.Watch O Origyn Origyn Β· 1.3K subscribers Β· Aug 2026
And while the PJ40 Pro adds useful automation and smart features, it doesn't offer the same sharpness, contrast, or brightness you'd expect from a more expensive native 4K projector . Overall, I would give the NexiGo PJ40 Pro three out of five stars . For its price-quality ratio, it's worth buying if you want a large image, easy setup, and smart features without spending a lot . However, I wouldn't give it four or five stars because the native resolution and brightness limit the image quality, especially in rooms with a lot of ambient lightWatch
