When I place the 10,000 BTU Midea on energy-saving Eco mode in a 400-square-foot main room, I find it maintains room temperature on summer days while running only a small fraction of the time. Note there are two variants of this device, depending on the vendor. A newer U-Plus version sold by Home Depot offers slightly better CEER efficiency.
