I am very happy with my litelok X3 Moto, it is compact and easy to work with, you can put very easily on the bike or of the bike (wheel) I know maybe in your mind seems to be a bit to expensive but the peace of mind this lock offering to you is amazing, every time you lock your bike with this one you stay secure, I totally recommend it to anyone have a bike and love it.Read M
This is a lit lock, a motorcycle U lock with a special coating that makes it much tougher to cut than most other locks. In fact, I probably wouldn't bother using a lock without it anymore.Watch C
The X3 is billed as the most angle grinder-resistant bike lock on the market, with Litelok claiming a 20-fold greater resistance than its best-selling D-lock rivals. This is down to the use of barronium, a sort of composite ‘armour’ that is fused to the lock’s core and designed to repel a rotating blade. Which is exactly what it did.Read M

"My Litelok X3 does a great job of securing my bike, so I can rest assured it’s still there where I left it. It is heavy though, so I’ve been looking for a solution. I’ve tried pannier bags and there were too unwieldy. The tactical mount piqued my interest, but I was worried it wouldn’t fit on my odd shaped frame (Trek Marlin + 8 ).Read C
I need to take a lock with me, so the obvious choice is the LITELOK, um given how robust it is and market leading on quality and everything. And you can tell by the size and weight of it. But, I've got two options. Got the heavier one, the more robust one, um and the one I'm going to travel with, which is equally as good. Well, it's not equally as good.Watch T Tiktok Article
It offers at least 20 times more resistance than the best-selling D-locks without adding any extra weight. It is permanently fused to a hardened fine-grain high-tensile steel core which provides protection against all other commonly used tools such as bolt croppers, cable cutters, long bars, hammers & chisels and -40°C freeze spray.Read C
It offers some peace of mind.Watch F Facebook Article
Built with Barronium®, our patented composite armour, LITELOK X3 is designed to fight back against angle grinder attacks by redirecting the grinder’s own energy against itself. ⚙️⚡ The result? 20x more resistance than leading D-locks, without adding unnecessary weight. And it doesn’t stop there.Read C
As with Hiplok, Litelok claims its lock is 20 times more resistant to angle grinders than a standard D-lock. There's the cheaper Litelok X1 available too (see below), which has a thinner layer to Barronium coating – apparently five times the resistance of a standard D-lock.Read W
Just a quick video to document how fast it is to attach the X3 lock to my bike. If the situation means the bike will be out of my sight for even a moment I use a much more thorough lock to a stationary object with a second U lock and a 2-meter boron steel noose chain.Watch F Facebook Article
"Having recently had two motorcycles stolen from my garage, I looked for some extra security, and now feel much more at ease having a LITELOK X3 locking my bike safe and secure in my garage" Great to hear James! thanks for sending your thoughts in.Read B
The LITELOK X3 Moto isn’t just another D-lock; it is a specialised piece of defensive engineering. While most D-locks succumb to a battery-powered angle grinder in under 30 seconds, the X3 is designed to destroy the grinder’s discs instead!Read I Instagram Article
I must say i'm certainly not disappointed by these locks, they are brilliant. I don't really leave my bike alone for long but if I do I make sure I've got my X3 with me if i'm out and about, and its always on when there locked up at home.Read M

It’s slightly more expensive than the OnGuard RockSoild 8590, which I awarded the best overall, but the Litelok X3 is likely better all-round value thanks to its greater reach and potential to mount on your bike - if of course you are happy to pay the extra cost.Read P
The short answer is yes if your bike is regularly left in high-risk areas, or if you own an expensive road bike, gravel bike, cargo bike or e-bike that needs more than a standard Sold Secure Gold lock. For lower-risk stops, it is more lock than many riders need.Read T
It doesn’t have the same level of security as some of the more expensive locks on this list, but for relatively casual riders in very low-crime areas or stopping for short lengths of time, it’s a more-than-adequate sidekick that doesn’t feel overkill (or heavy).Read L
The X3 is one of the most secure full-sized D locks in the market, whilst also being easy to use; however, it is on the heavier side. If you loved the X1 but want the absolute maximum in grinder-resistant security, the X3 is your ultimate upgrade.Read B

This is the Lightlock X1 and the X3. And they chew up angle grinders. They've racked up accolades and have rightfully earned every bit of praise. There is a lot to love, but one key drawback ebikers need to know. Let's cover it all in today's review. I'm Griffin and welcome to Electric Bike Report.Watch
