The lock that changed how I think about commuter security. On paper, the X1 looks like any other standard-size D-lock. It’s not excessively heavy. It doesn’t have some outlandish industrial design. You wouldn’t look at it and assume it was doing anything particularly special. And that, as it turns out, is rather the point.Read M
In fact, I probably wouldn't bother using a lock without it anymore.Watch R
Reviewer Mike Stead felt the Tactical Mount could use minor tweaks (those reflective stickers are a bit delicate), but the Litelok X1 itself is superb. This is arguably the best Diamond-rated angle grinder-proof lock you can get at this price. For performance and peace of mind, it’s an absolute steal.Read B
It actually chews up the grinder discs faster than the discs chew through the lock. Then that rubber shell on the outside isn't just for looks. It's protecting your frame every single time you sling this thing on. And none of this is marketing talk, either.Watch W
Litelok’s trusty X1 offers serious security and impressive versatility for a wide range of users, bikes, and racks. As an angle-grinder-resistant U-lock, the X1’s security scores are among the highest available, with only a few locks claimed to hold out longer against power-cutting criminals.Read T

Now, so this is a really strong DLO. Quite heavy and strong. Is a 1.7 kg. So, a little bit to the heavy side, but you know, the weight shows how good quality it is and how strong it's going to be. It has a buranium uh fused composite armor that repels angle grinder attacks. So, what it means is it's five times more resistant to angle grinder attacks than your average DLOG.Watch F Facebook Article

The Litelok X1 is the best overall bike lock we tested. It balances real-world grinder resistance with everyday usability and it is relatively low-weight. This makes it ideal for e-bike riders, daily commuters and anyone locking up in theft-prone areas.Read A
The reviews on these guys, you've seen it all online. They are fantastic at what they do, particularly against angle grinder resistance. None of us want huge chains to be carrying around. Um the portability of a strong lock is important to to people on motorbikes. Um this will fit in any backpack, in any top box, side luggage. Um with it being the Plus, it won't really fit under many seats.Watch F Facebook Article
Really happy with my purchase a solid quality made lock, that I can store under my bike seat in its case,I can now leave the bike unattended although for mainly short periods with better piece of mind it will put off the thieves. Thanks Litelok.Read J
Thanks to this one lock that will do a very good job of keeping your bike nice and safe in that very circumstance. Let me introduce you then to the brand. This is Lightlock. If you park an expensive rig in a high-theft urban area, this lock is an awesome insurance policy. It provides unparalleled peace of mind against the modern thief's favorite tool. However, if you are on a budget or prioritize a lightweight setup for casual rides, the X1's weight and cost might be overkill.Read D
Took a diamond blade to get through this thing on both sides. Our first test was with a diamond wheel. So, we're going to try this again with a regular cutff wheel and see how long this takes. We got the rubber smoking on this. Yeah. Should we be breathing room? No, I don't think so. Dude, this strong like over here. Third leg, dude. I still smell it over here. That's strong.Watch B
It was super easy to use for my Litelok X1 regular, but the Litelok X1 Mini mount I received was pretty tight on the lock, so it was a bit finicky to fit into the mount sometimes. I had to make sure the Litelok X1 Mini was completely perpendicular to the mount as I put it in or it seemed to not fit.Read O

Bearing in mind these advantages, and the fact that, in the street, I think it should be secure enough to deter most angle grinder wielding thieves, the Litelok X1 is my choice for best bike lock in 2023 , despite not being as strong as the X3 or D1000.Read B
One of the most negative things about it, I think, is being able to actually fit it because unlike this folding lock here, you can't very easily um get it around stuff. Sometimes it's not quite long enough here. We've got just about enough space. So, we're going to put it through here uh like this and um through the back wheel.Watch B
That said, its locking area is limited in comparison, which could mean that users may only be able to lock around a frame tube and a bike rack, while larger locks may be able to fit a frame tube and a wheel, for example.Read R r/bicycling u/Lopsided_Claim8615 · owner

The Litelok X1 has inadvertently become among the cheapest available as a growing number of angle grinder-proof locks enter the market. The lock is diamond-rated, meaning you'll be covered under most insurance schemes. It requires multiple angle grinder discs to penetrate and weighs a reasonable 1.7kg, making it easy to carry around.Read E
This is the Lightlock X1 and the X3. And they chew up angle grinders. They've racked up accolades and have rightfully earned every bit of praise. There is a lot to love, but one key drawback ebikers need to know. Let's cover it all in today's review. I'm Griffin and welcome to Electric Bike Report.Watch B

So anyway, we're looking at this Lightlock X1. Haven't opened it yet. It's literally just arrived in the post today. So, you're opening it with me first time. So, there we go. Frequently asked questions
It ranks #1 (S tier) on our consolidated bike locks board, drawn from 46 cited sources across 35 outlets.
The Litelok X1 is for the rider who wants high security without paying for the last few percent. Reviewers rate it a value pick: a hardened steel shackle, a high-security U-lock design and a light build at a cost well below the heaviest locks. It is the only S tier lock on our bike locks board. If you need the best possible angle-grinder resistance and do not mind a different brand, the OnGuard RockSolid in A tier is the one reviewers name for that job.
The Litelok X1 is built as a high-security U-lock with a hardened steel shackle, and reviewers rank it at the top of our board on value rather than on being the absolute strongest lock. The Litelok X3 carries a higher security rating and proven grinder resistance, but reviewers judged that gain marginal for the extra cost and weight. For the hardest grinder resistance on our board, reviewers point to the OnGuard RockSolid.
Buy the Litelok X1. The Litelok X3 has a higher security rating and a solid warranty, but reviewers found the security improvement marginal against its extra weight and higher cost, which is why it sits in D tier while the Litelok X1 is in S tier. Choose the Litelok X3 only if you lock a high-value bike in a high-theft area and the weight does not bother you.
Light for its class. Reviewers list lightweight construction among the Litelok X1's strengths, which matters because a lock you leave at home protects nothing. Most riders carry a U-lock in a frame mount or a bag. If you want something that folds flat, the Abus Bordo Granit is the portable folding lock on our board.
Keep the keyway clean and dry. A dry PTFE or graphite lubricant in the cylinder every few months stops grit from binding the pins, and a little light oil on the shackle ends stops rust where the coating wears. Store it keyway down when the bike is parked outside so water drains. Do not use heavy grease, which traps dirt.
