Featuring highly breathable mesh straps and Leki’s Speedlock Plus length adjustment system, I had no issues with these poles collapsing or the straps lengthening unintentionally. The well-designed feature set rounds out with a core locking device that makes it incredibly easy to fold and unfold the poles. The only downside I could find is the slightly limited adjustment range; unusually short or tall folks may prefer poles that come in shorter or longer lengths. For everyone else, these poles stand out for having virtually no downside. See the full review of the Leki Skytera FX Carbon SL .Read W
Which gets us to the Storm Trooper aesthetic Leki Skytera FX Carbon SL Compact poles. After some local warm ups, I took them on a five-day Blue Mountains barge ‘n’ bash bushwalk. In theory, the walk was on track. Thanks to the camouflage overgrowth, it felt more like off-track. I constantly stumbled due to holes and sticks and head-smacking branches. The Skyteras came out of the melee unphased and undamaged, however, and constantly helped me not go face first into the dirt/rock (ie they withstood sudden pressure-bouts of my body weight slamming into them).Read M Mountainreview.com Article
