Black Diamond Pursuit

The Black Diamond Pursuit Pants are an excellent fit for hikers and backpackers who prioritize mobility, comfort, and all-around versatility in mild to moderately warm conditions. Their lightweight feel, athletic fit, and thoughtful articulation make them especially well-suited to scrambling-heavy hikes where bulkier or baggier hiking pants can get in the way. They also strike a nice middle ground between ultra-airy summer hiking pants and more protective softshells, making them a strong “one pant” option for shoulder-season use and fair-weather adventures.

Overall, the Black Diamond Pursuit 30 is a solid choice for anyone looking for a comfortable and functional outdoor adventure backpack. It's clear that Black Diamond put a lot of thought into the design, and it pays off in terms of comfort, convenience, and durability. If you value comfort and sustainability, this pack is definitely worth checking out.

The Black Diamond Pursuit 6 is a dream for all sorts of adventures. The ability to carry a jacket, gloves, and water bottles make it appealing for quick outings in the mountains, scrambly day hikes, bike rides, and even backpacking trips. The harness is breathable and comfortable to wear all day, and the pack is weather-resistant enough to keep sensitive items protected in surprise storms. That said, the Pursuit 6 is unapologetically large and bulky. It verges more on overbuilt than streamlined, making it poorly suited for everyday use and more casual outings. At the same time, the lightweight design is too bouncy for actual running. But if you stick within its wheelhouse – which is admittedly broad – the Pursuit 6 won’t disappoint.
