Today, we're going to have a look at the D2 Thunderbolt 2 drive from LaCie. Okay, first off, looking at the outside of the packaging. Here, we can see that it states that it is a Thunderbolt 2 drive. clearly lacie weren't forerunners of the 'right to repair' movement. my d2 internals were different to yours (possibly because mine is mains-powered), but a touch easier to work with, because there wasn't an internal fan with dangling cable. i was getting inside because the unit had died, and i wanted to retrieve the 3.5" drive to use via a caddy.Watch S
If strong storage capacity and long term organization matters more, the LaCie D2 professional still makes a lot of sense, especially when you need 10, 14, 20TB without spending a fortune on a solid state storage.Watch B
