185 LP on the category ladder what's LP?

A tested, roundup-recognized minimalist with a clever ejection mechanism. The mechanism and elastic are the parts that age, which is exactly why it trails the pure-leather picks under this lens.

Flagged as a product to avoid

3 of 10 research runs entered this as a product to avoid rather than a pick.

Its visibility is purchased rather than earned: brand-published listicles and sponsored video coverage, with mixed real user threads underneath. The quick-access eject mechanism solves a problem a slim leather wallet does not have, and the Secrid Slimwallet executes the same idea better.

  2. A trigger-pop cardholder priced well above what comparable leather-and-metal holders cost, with a tracker upsell on top; its glowing reputation comes from vendor self-ranking and affiliate-driven award videos with paid links rather than owner enthusiasm.

  3. Its quick-draw mechanism trades durability and thickness for a novelty pull, and community long-term review threads exist because buyers keep questioning whether it holds up. The Bellroy Apex Slim Sleeve does its job better in every test that matters.

My first impressions of the Ekster MagSafe Wallet are genuinely great. This thing is built like a tank. The quality of materials is excellent, and to be honest that is true of the entire Ekster range, particularly the Pro models (including the Ekster Wallet Pro ) where you pay a little more but get a noticeable step up in finish. Across the board, Ekster wallets just feel great in the hand. Flush, solid, and precisely put together.

Ekster just added one of the most requested features to their Cardholder Pro, MagSafe 🔥 This has a clean and minimal design. It’s smaller than the Cardholder Pro, but still fits up to 7 cards (or 17 with add-ons). The trigger mechanism is removable, so if it ever jams, you can safely remove your cards without forcing them out. Want one for yourself or as a gift? 🎁 Use my discount code for an extra 10% off!

It’s especially useful for travel , providing a secure way to keep your essentials organized and accessible.

Why we like it : Ekster’s Cardholder Pro wallet now comes in a MagSafe version, and it’s a great option if you want that ejection lever for easy access to your cards. This MagSafe wallet from Ekster is the only one I’ve tried in my time at ZDNET that offers the feature. It also comes in a few punchy colors, is lightweight, and has a lifetime warranty.

Using the Aluminum Cardholder has been great. I had a larger slim wallet, but this has carried me even further down that path. The cardholder worked without issue carrying my cards and ejected as expected every time.

I haven’t seen this before, and the Cardholder Pro has become my new favorite MagSafe wallet — and I’m not just saying that for this one specific feature. There’s so much more to it. Here’s why.

At S$119, it is definitely cheaper than most good leather wallets, and I think it is well worth for the awesome built quality.
