The Dyson V8 Cyclone Vacuum delivered a deep, satisfying clean on a single charge. It remained easy to manoeuvre, comfortable to carry upstairs, and didn’t feel heavier as time went on. My only note is that during a particularly dusty period, I did need to empty the bin twice, but that’s hardly a criticism, just a reminder that the bin isn’t oversized.

The Dyson V8 Cyclone has been around for a good few years now, but instead of quietly retiring it and moving onto something different, the company has chosen to give it a refresh. That makes sense, as there’s plenty of brand recognition there – and, let’s be honest, the form factor has remained very similar over the years.

I must say, I really like this. It's a combination of the the classic that Dyson have had for years. Uh combined with a like a silver and a gray finish. So, overall, as a finish, I think it's really really modern-looking compared to some of the other Dyson that have been around. Uh overall, the capacity on the bin, you're looking at 0.54 L on this model. Uh this that's not changed.

A few features that I like about this newer model is how quiet the Dyson Absolute is. I also like where they put the high speed switch because I would frequently accidentally press that button on the older Dyson vacuum. Thirdly, I like the new way that you empty the Dyson vacuum cleaner bin.

The Dyson V8 Cyclone is a worthy upgrade to the much-loved Dyson V8 and addresses all the niggles with the original model.

The Dyson V8 boasts legendary suction power (115AW), lightweight design, and incredible maneuverability.

It’s an exceptionally powerful vacuum with great suction power.

And what I like about it is that you can actually empty the canister without removing the wand. That's something that you can't do with the newer models. Now, compared to the Dyson V15, the handle is considerably smaller, and I think it's a little easier to use and hold, and it's actually much lighter. The main unit of the V8 weighs just a little over 3 lb, whereas the V15 weighs 4 1/2 lb.

The actual voltage is higher.

It sounds very quiet. Very, very quiet compared to other Dyson V8s that we usually see. So, off the bat, I can see it has three power modes. This will be medium. This will be boost.

Does anybody else really love the sound of like the that happens when you're vacuuming and you're like, "Oh yeah, I got some good stuff this time." This is the Dyson V8 Animal and I've had it for 4 years and I got to say it still holds up. The battery lasts as long as I need it to go. I've never had a problem where I'm working with it, then all of a sudden it just dies on me.

Both of these are excellent vacuums with their biggest differences actually being in their features and operation. The Dyson V11 is an all-around larger vacuum with greater power and dust bin capacity. It has longer battery life rated at 60 minutes on eco mode versus the V8 rated at only 40 minutes on eco mode.

If you're looking for a good quality cordless vacuum, I definitely recommend this Dyson V8. We've had this one for a few years now and we absolutely love it. The battery life is the big negative on the V8. It's equipped with two different power levels, and max power lasted just under eight minutes in our test. Shocked, we charged the battery again for 24 hours, and once again, it lasted the same amount of time.

Where you will notice a difference in terms of the overall performance is when you get to the larger macaroni. And I think that's related to the suction power on the Dyson on its lower setting on the V8 specifically is not as powerful as medium mode on your Fur Guard. So on the Fur Guard, it does a better job picking up all of these larger particles.

One downside we noticed is that this vacuum isn’t well suited to high-pile rugs. During testing, we found that the thick fabric typically gets stuck in the vacuum head and, even on the lowest setting, is unable to move through to pick up dirt and debris.

And Dyson increased the suction power here as well as made the battery life better. But if you take a closer look at the Dyson V8 Cyclone, you might notice something different because it looks just like this, the original Dyson V8. But actually the internals really mirror what you get here on our Dyson V12 Slim.

The downsides are mostly ergonomic. The handle has no padding and can dig into your thumb during longer sessions. The on-off button is also positioned so you need to keep one hand free, which feels slightly clunky compared to side-mounted switches.

It's done really well on the left-hand side, and on the right-hand side, on the front, it's not too great at all, unfortunately. But then again, that's what the crevice tool is for. That's really surprising. You know what? Yeah, the V8 is not even the most powerful cordless Dyson, but when I lift the floor tool away from the floor, nothing will even fell out.

It’s not as feature-packed as newer Dyson models, as you only get two attachments, and there’s no laser light to reveal hidden dust. Still, this is a reliable cordless offering excellent value.

So guys, this is the Dyson V8 cordless vacuum. The thing I'll give you some pros and cons on this. Do really like that it is lightweight. So, we had the other Dyson, but this is a lightweight version. It can also obviously do pet hair. You've got the area up top here. This is the filter. This just unscrews. You can clean that. Garbage little can here. This can hold 0.54 L, I believe.

And, ultimately, I do think that the Cyclone is a step-up from the original and that Dyson has made definite improvements on the issues that many people had with the older model.

My pick is the Samsung Jet 75. It offers stronger suction, longer battery options, a larger dust bin, and better filtration. But if you find the Dyson V8 heavily discounted, especially if you have lots of carpets or pet hair, it's still a very capable vacuum.

I always consider Dyson a little bit overpriced. Um, the new ones definitely are. This is one actually pretty affordable. Let's see how it turns out. As far as this particular bundle, it comes with the vacuum cleaner, the wand, which is like the pole, the soft roller cleaner head, which is good for hardwood floors. As you can see here, I have hardwood in this room, and I have tile, so it's great.

Thanks ! Eh yeah I think the V8 is solid. Still hasn’t been long enough to see what issues could pop up but I know it’s more reliable then a v12 at this point of time.

The thing that's kind of interesting is the V9 actually is not quite as powerful as the V8. The V8 has 115 airwatts of power and the V9 has 100. But I found in the real world both of them perform very well and I didn't feel like one was stronger than the other. I did notice though with the V8 you either have low power or max power.

It removed pet hair without any tangling though and has a wide array of tools to help with cleaning. One for big homes or spaces.

But with the V8 Plus, you get a bunch more attachments that make this a much better buy in my opinion. namely the fact that you get the wand and the motor brush on it. And you also get the upgraded mini motor brush that has the anti-tangle screw. Makes it a lot easier to get hair off this if it gets stuck. And then you get the standard crevice tool and you also get a brush.

It's a really handy vacuum if it works, but it has to work like anything. So, um, we've had this issue. I'm going to take it apart and see couple of things here. I've seen, you know, I've seen some videos. You're watching a video, but um, we're going to see if a couple of things I've seen can help it. First, I need to empty the garbage.
