Apple iMac 24-inch M4

The new iMac I have just makes me shake my head at how quick and efficient it is. They are absolutely worth the money. I built PCs for years and am a big technology nerd. While I love PCs, they are more prone to problems in my opinion because of the different configurations of hardware and the very taxing operating system used to run them .

Karl, I'm with you.I have the M1 in orange too and prefer it to the new less "orangy" M4 but the difference is not that much. I will keep the M1 (its a great computer) and buy the new M4 in Green for another room. The new green is so much brighter than the boring "teal" green of the M1. I also like the new purple and blue colors of the M4.

For 1300 you get the m4 great speakers webcam. All these would be separate and even more money now than the 2200 don't forget the keyboard and mouse/trackpad/speakers. I edit videos and do graphic design all from an iMac and not one issue or have I thought I needed more power. Any M3/M4 iMac is a great purchase.

its a steal of a deal people sleep on it. You can add more ports if needed and again you will not find a 4.5 retina glass apple display looks just as good as a Studio Display. Put an M4 iMac beside any display not apple and will wish you had it especially if you are connecting a MacBook or Mac mini.

My gaming is now more portable so I found the M4 iMac to be a wonderful, simple to use machine with a ton of power (and some occasional gaming!). Integrated webcam, speakers, etc make it so easy to use and a clean setup, which just works (as you said). Cheers!

And honestly, it handles 4K footage very well. almost like it doesn't know it's a base model. Launching Premier Pro is smooth. Launching After Effects is even smoother. We added a 24 in ASUS monitor on the side to increase screen real estate because editing on a small screen feels like trying to cook in a small kitchen. You can do it, but you bump into things.

Value-wise the iMac comes with a keyboard and mouse/trackpad. Admittedly Apple’s pricing is pretty steep on these accessories so the value is debatable. I suppose I could get a nice docking station solution, but I like the cleanness of the iMac having everything integrated as opposed to separate docking/display/speakers and the associated cabling.

not for me atm. i have tried coping over my loops. took me months to put the tempo and key into my old mac. got this one and can not find a way of getting them in my new mac on logic. seems it might lack that intelligence to be frank. it also feels really cheap on the outside. very plastic feeling. if you drop this it will crack in half.

Are they perfect? Not really. But they're very good priced, you know, Max and if you're in the market, they're good options. Now, I will tell you when compared to some other options out there, these ones might not be the very first ones I'd recommend buying when it comes down to it. But I will still say these types of devices bring a lot of stuff to the table. They're still very powerful.
