The Antennas Direct DB8e is particularly suited for people in areas where TV stations are available from two locations far apart, as each reception array can be pointed in a different direction.

The Antennas Direct 8-Element Bowtie UHF HDTV Antenna immediately caught my attention with its impressive 70+ mile range, making it a solid choice for rural and suburban areas. Its size, measuring 36.8 inches high and 50 inches wide, feels substantial but well-built, giving me confidence in its durability and performance.

The decidedly retro Antennas Direct DB8e 8-Element Bowtie Antenna is powerful. It features two panels (each with four elements and a reflector) that you can angle toward clusters of nearby stations to get the best results. It's still a multidirectional antenna, but it has a useful range of around 70 miles.

Overall, I rate the DB8E a 9.3 out of 10. I know it's on the pricey side. I know it's large, but if you've been struggling to consistently receive channels you want over the air, this is the best antenna for the job, no questions asked. If you don't have a good work light to install this antenna in your attic, check out my review of the Infinity X1 solar-powered work light.

The DB8e handled both clusters without any rotation needed, which is impossible with traditional directional designs. At 50 miles, UHF reception was rock solid with no pixelation during evening prime-time viewing.
