The Anker Soundcore Space A40 wireless earbuds are back on sale for a record-low price of $45 a 44 percent discount. These earbuds remain our top pick for best budget wireless earbuds . The most significant feature on the A40 earbuds is the inclusion of active noise cancellation (ANC), which is almost unheard of at this price point. It's not the most sophisticated ANC, but it does sufficiently reduce constant rumbling background noise like on a plane. The built-in mic that's used for transparency mode and phone calls is a bit subpar, especially when used in noisy areas.Read S

Adaptive ANC is the standout feature of the Space A40 in the sub-$100 earbud category. The Space A40 uses six microphones to detect ambient noise and adjust cancellation automatically, so a commute switches modes from a train platform to a train car to a walk down the sidewalk. Manual ANC strength adjustment in the app also lets you lock the setting for consistent behavior when the automatic mode over- or under-adjusts. Transparency Mode also comes standard for hearing outside sound while music plays.Read H

When it comes to ANC, the Space A40 excel for their price. They’ll easily drown out powerful, low-frequency rumbles like the white noise you hear on an airplane, but louder high-pitched frequencies (like the screech of that barista learning how to use a milk frother at the coffee shop) pull through and challenge it a bit more. However, they still do a fairly good job of keeping those more abrupt sounds from disrupting your listening experience, especially if you’re locked in on your tunes.Read D

But I got to say that what really grabs my attention about these products is their battery life. The Q45 is rated to have up to 50 hours of play time. That is with&c. Without Soundcore states that it can last up to 65 hours. That's around 30% more than the most popular noise cancelling headphones. And I've tried a few in my line of work.Watch T

Back to the A40, these buds shine bright in a field full of expensive wireless earbuds and most of the others don't even come close to delivering the insane value that the A40 do. The Anker Soundcore Space A40 noise-cancelling true wireless earphones (A$129.99) are the company's latest affordable earbuds to offer solid active noise cancellation (ANC). The pair fits securely, delivers strong audio performance, and offers excellent battery life. We're also fans of the companion app's control and EQ customization options. These new in-ears ultimately outshine both of Anker's older top-rated models, the Soundcore Life P3 and Liberty Air 2 Pro, and take over as our Editors' Choice winner in the around-$150 price range. Other options in this segment also offer quality noise cancellation, but the Space A40 earbuds' natural sound signature and useful companion app help them stand out.Watch C Comparative Reviews Comparative Reviews · 5K subscribers · Apr 2024

I think um I would rate the Soundcore A40s. I think these are one of the best budget earbuds you can buy right now and they compete against much higher priced supposedly more premium earbuds. Um, like even if these two cost exactly the same, I would buy the Sound Cords instead of the Bose just because the case is much better. this the earbuds are much smaller and seem like they'll be much more sturdy and in terms of functionality they both do the same jobWatch B

The Soundcore Space A40 has a great combination of specialties: it is comfortable to wear and barely sticks out of your ears - that’s the first. The second is that is has decent, if a little outdated Active Noise Cancelling . And the third is that it lasts 8 hours on a single charge . All these things combines make the Soundcore Space A40 suitable for sleeping - even on your side. It starts to show its age in 2025. It supports multipoint for two devices at the same time, but calls start to suffer when there’s some noise around you, and the sound is balanced… but not as detailed and articulated as newer models from the same brand or other great sounding budget earbuds .Read A Amazon Expert Amazon Expert · 2.2K subscribers · Aug 2025
Speaking of noise cancellation, the Space A40 features adaptive ANC, which claims to reduce ambient noise by up to 98%. In practice, it performs well in moderately loud environments like public transport or open offices. However, it does struggle with sudden sharp noises or voices in close proximity. The transparency mode is usable, but not seamless.Watch S
While the physical fit is a success for tactile comfort, the auditory environment they create is more complicated. For those navigating misophonia or general sound hypersensitivity, the active noise cancelling is a primary tool for survival in public spaces. These earbuds offer a decent reduction of low-frequency hums, but they struggle with higher-pitched ambient sounds.Read V
And now, for the moment you've waited for, should you buy the Soundcore Space A40? The honest answer, yes, if you want affordable earbuds with good sound and an industry-leading battery life, especially for everyday use. No, if you're chasing world-class noise cancellation or impeccable sound clarity, there are better options, but at a much steeper price. For under $50 though, these strike a solid middle ground.Watch E r/Earbuds u/Draven2Op · owner
