The step can and dishrack earn their premium about as cleanly as a kitchen product can. The soap pump is the one purchase here I’d hesitate on, not because it fails constantly, but because when it does fail, it fails within the window where you’ll notice the price tag most. Go in expecting good, not perfect, and you won’t be disappointed by any of these.

Overall, this bin strikes the perfect balance of being slender enough to fit neatly against a wall, whilst large enough to handle a good amount of rubbish.

Simplehuman and forget about it. The ergonomics easily worth the extra $20, and they have a stellar lifetime warranty which they honor.

The SimpleHuman 45L step can is engineered like a luxury appliance. The pedal is tested for 150,000 steps — that’s 20 years of daily use. The Lid‑Shox technology ensures the lid closes silently every single time.

They work okay. They just always sag down when the garbage is half full from the weight because they don’t seem to be tight enough at the top to hold.
