Secretlab Magnus Pro

G GamesRadar+ Article

In 2023 and 2024's Black Friday Secretlab deals, we saw both the Magnus and the Magnus Pro come down in price, so it would stand to reason that in 2025, we see the same from the brand's desk range. As a part of the brand's Black Friday Now initiative, one version of the Magnus Pro is already seeing a discount, and it's included in a few bundle offerings.

The Secretlab MAGNUS Pro is easily one of the best height adjustable desks we ever had the pleasure to use, but it does have a few kinks.

T TwoByteThomas atlantikbummler · owner · Nov 2025

I have done a lot of research before buying the Magnus Pro XL and for me it is currently by far the best computer desk you can get if you want clear cable management, high material quality and building quality. I just love it. Especially the small mangets for cabelmagamet if you have a lot of USB-C cabels for loading some stuff is excellent.

I got the Magnus Pro and assembled it. IT'S NOT WOBBLING much AT ALL at standing height. I'm 6'2'' and I have 2 monitors set up on arms (ergotron dual). There's enough space for the arm and the lid closes. I have a mic stand on the side. Why am I talking about the Secretlab Magnus on a Deskhaus channel? Oh, wait.coz you did, Corona boy.

I still stand by everything I said. The steel frame is as sturdy today as it was when first assembled. The all-over magnetic top is sleek, and it comes in handy when adding on some of Secretlab’s (pricy) accessories. The motor hums to life without pause, and the legs extend and retract in one smooth motion.

The Secretlab Magnus Pro XL takes everything that worked with the original model and innovates on it in new and impressive ways. Boasting a new sit-to-stand feature, an increased tabletop size, and even a power delivery column, if money is no object then this is the definitive high-end gaming desk to beat.

The SecretLab Magnus Pro Desk is everything I wanted from the original Magnus Desk! I compare the Magnus Pro Desk to my previous Uplift Standing Desk in this review video.

P PC Gamer Article

What makes the Secretlab Magnus Pro XL the best gaming desk? It's surprisingly innovative. Desks can be boring things, let's face it, but Secretlab has mixed things up to create something that redefines what you expect from what otherwise might be a plain old table for your gaming gear.

So, had a lot of conversations with Cam about his Uplift desk and looked heavily into that one. Um, this is not a cheap desk by any means, but I think some of the features on it seem to be really good. Um, I like having the built-in motorized uh panel for the motor. Um, it's nice and sleek in the desk. It's got interchangeable desk pads on the top. Um, so you can change that out if you get bored.

This is possibly the best desk on the planet right now. Cable management is absolutely amazing. Only gripe I have is with support of 3rd party monitor arms - which I had from before and had to do some major compromises to get it mounted to the desk.

The best overall is the Secretlab Magnus Pro , as it packs so many useful features into its metal frame and desktop. Meanwhile, the Flexispot E7 is a great value option, and the Corsair Platform:6 offers loads of extra storage spaces.

This desk by far has been the most amazing desk I ever own for a few reasons. One of them is the magnetic add-ons. The tabletop still looks brand new despite the daily abuse. I use this basically every day for almost a year. And as you can see, there's not a single scratch mark or anything into this table top. It just look like I bought it yesterday.

Very happy with my choice and glad I went with the XL. No regrets right now and plan to get a few more of the accessories for it soon.

Spoiler alert, this thing might easily be one of the best home purchases I have ever done in my life. This is my old setup that I wanted to replace. A custommade desk that became too small at some point. I tried to do some basic cable management using supplies from Amazon, but it still looked pretty bad.

Just got the Magnus pro, I live in a rural Utah. Everything we get delivered is extremely banged up from shipping. But not the desk itself they packed it well and the quality is top notch. Super happy with it. I was extremely speculative when I ordered it, my monitor fits the standard arm even though it’s right at max weight limit. I’m still not sure about the ATLAS chair.

I have the Final Fantasy XIV edition of their chair and have been looking into getting a new desk. Was considering biting the bullet and getting the Magnus Pro and then I noticed the Gundam themed set and that immediately cemented my decision. I may get one of the chair sleeves to turn my chair into Gundam theme for awhile, will end up doubling as protection as well!

While there is a lot of content out there, I don't see a lot of critical content discussing some of the negatives about this brand of desks. And spoiler alert, there are some negatives for certain setups. So this is a video for you if you're about to pull the trigger on a Secret Lab Magnus Pro desk. But also remember, this isn't a hit piece telling you to not buy in.

C Create. Consume. Repeat. richarda3764 · owner · Dec 2024

I've had this desk for a while now (over a year) and really love it. I ended up buying 2 under desk PC mounts (one for PC and another to hold a sub), headphone holder, and the monitor arm and they all work really great. Secretlab also came out with a super sweet Hush Batman desktop pad so I replaced my original subdued Batman pad.

D Dark Corner Studios Dark Corner Studios · 44.1K subscribers · May 2026

Now, I don't want to spoil the whole video, but my full-on recommendation between the two is the Evo. There's a few reasons, but also a few things we have to consider. So, if that's all you wanted, you can walk away happy.

I love all of secretlabs products. They are a bit overpriced in all honesty, support is absolute garbage. Best product? Desk and accessories. Worst product, the chairs. I should not be hurting after sitting down in a chair after x amount time, and it's not because of posture, because any other chair does not give me this pain.

I'm comparing the Magnus Pro to BTOD's (Beyond The Office Door in Wisconsin)) Vert Desk V3. I do not work for BTOD and have no financial conflicts of interest. I'm just an old guy/PC computer home hobbyist since 1993. The Vert Desk V3 uses Innotech electronics which has a lifetime Warranty along w/ the frame and top.

Spoiler alert! the Secretlab's Magnus PRO is a great desk but not all of it’s accessories meet expectations. In this review I give an overview of the assembly procedure and a detailed review of the desk including a wobble test with examples to show stability. There are also some things to consider before purchasing the PC mount, especially if your case has top mounted vents.

I IGN Eric Song · reviewer

It’s an expensive desk though, and for the money, it would have been nice to see a smarter safety mechanism for the motors and the desk mat included. Still, the overall quality you get is a big step up from cheaper standing desks, and the optional accessories truly enhance the experience.

O Otama Couple Otama Couple · 1.8K subscribers · Nov 2022

I would say that the wobble is comparable to other tables. So, no concern for me. Second test, the handshake. For this test, we will be intentionally shaking the table. As you can see, after vigorous shaking on the right hand side at a height of 76.4 cm, it is very stable. However, at a 1:1 cm height, you can see that it's actually swaying a bit more, which is to me kind of expected.

H Homeofficeresearch Article

The Secretlab Magnus Pro warrants only 5 years despite its premium price, which is the primary reason it ranks below its build quality would otherwise suggest. Vari’s lifetime warranty covers functional operation and is a genuine standout at its tier.

J Josip Sobin Josip Sobin · 7 subscribers · May 2025

While I love the product, I had poor experience with Secretlab customer support. Few days after I spent 1.000 euros on the desk and accessories, EU website featured 20% off accessories with the purchase of a new desk. I contacted their support and said that I wanted to order few more accessories and asked them to apply the discount.

A Austin Davis ChristopherRohloff-i1e · owner · Feb 2025

You say it's solid, but I would like to see the wobble test at full standing height. Other reviews show it's an issue. I saw other videos comment that Secret Labs has a new supplier for the white version, and that appears to be more stable.

S Secretlab nickkampf8870 · owner · Aug 2022

love the desk, but man the design to even the desk out by holding the down button is a bit counter intuitive if the desk is too low and starts having issues, couldne't get mine out of limbo for a while and thought i broke a damn leg.

A Autonomous Autonomous · reviewer

At the same time, the metal surface can feel less forgiving than wood for users who prefer a warmer, softer tactile experience. Desk mats are almost essential for long typing sessions, especially in cooler environments.

B BTODtv penguinsushi8442 · owner · Apr 2024

Shame that the desk has so much wobble when put up high, otherwise a really innovative desk with magnets and great cable management. EDIT: Apparently they use a new manufacturer now, eliminating almost all wobble.
