My Terra GTX boots failed after only a few days of use. The leather has split along the line of the join with the sole after 20 to 30 miles of walking! Blacks (the retailers) refunded without any fuss. Very comfortable boots.

I have followed the guidelines for care and aftercare as per the shop but the boots I feel are failing way too early and are not performing or lasting in the way they should be for such light usage.

One tester, a 60-year-old male, noted: ‘I would prefer a wider toe box; I think as you get older your foot gets wider.’ They actually went a whole two sizes bigger in the Terra GTX to allow for a second pair of socks if required. If you prefer a wider toe box and a slightly higher heel, the Scarpa Ranger GTX is a better bet, though they are heavier than the Terra.
