The Saatva Latex Pillow is supremely comfortable for side sleepers. The latex pillow feels like you’re lying on a cloud. It’s soft, buoyant and pressure-free, offering a similar sinking feel to down pillows, but with more responsiveness and support. When I use this pillow, I notice that my sleep is less interrupted and I wake up pain-free. This pillow has earned a permanent spot on my bed.

The Saatva latex pillow is one of my favorites because it manages to meet all these criteria. It has a core of shredded latex that's responsive and supportive with a gentle contour that lifts and cradles. And the outer layer of down alternative fibers creates a soft surface, giving it a good amount of give, but not so much that you sink out of alignment.

We tested it for our best pillow guide and found it maintained consistent support and shape while offering superior temperature regulation. The pillow excels for back sleepers seeking that ideal combination of structure and cushioning, though stomach sleepers might find even the standard loft too elevated. Its hypoallergenic properties make it an excellent choice for sensitive sleepers.

It's designed to give you that plush hotel style feel, but with actual structure underneath to keep everything aligned.

The Saatva Latex Pillow earned top billing as the best pillow overall. This pillow has a softer feel than most traditionally buoyant latex pillows, offering plenty of comfortable support and plushness with just the right amount of sinkage. The high loft had its greatest success for side and back sleepers, but there is a low-loft option for the fellow stomach sleepers out there.

The Saatva Latex Pillow is a good option for people who experience aches, pains, and pressure points in their neck. The pillow is constructed with a core of shredded, American-made Talalay latex encased in a smaller, removable pillow padded with soft microdenier fibers. These fibers have the same consistency as down or down alternative to provide extra cushioning.

I love options so I love that you can choose between a high or low loft, depending on your sleep position. It's hypoallergenic, so those with allergy should have no problem here.

What a wonderful surprise to wake up Monday morning with no low back pain whatsoever. I was in disbelief. I’m a side sleeper, and my hips didn’t hurt during the night. I’ve slept on the topper three nights now, and each morning has been the same, no low back pain. The Turmerry soft mattress topper makes you feel like you’re sleeping on a cloud.

Now, latex is a great bedding material because it's naturally cool. It's supportive, durable and hypoallergenic. With the Saatva latex pillow, you get a core of shredded Talalay latex wrapped in a plush outer layer of alternative fiber called microdenier. Wrapped in an organic cotton cover.

The Saatva Latex Pillow is my pick for the best luxury pillow for side sleepers , thanks to its soft yet responsive design, sturdy materials, plus its simple care instructions. Product tester Cait Giddings gave it a perfect 5 out of 5 in all three of my key testing categories for this list: experience, materials, and care.

Let's start with our best overall pick, the Saatva Latex Pillow. The Saatva Latex is, yes, a latex pillow, but it has a very interesting design I've never really seen before. It features a core made of shredded latex, and this is surrounded by micro denier fabric. This design offers firm support of its center surrounded by a plusher feel.

At first glance, the Saatva Pillow seems like an ordinary–if high quality and comfortable–pillow: a soft cotton shell surrounds down-like microfiber filling. Once your head sinks into the plush microfiber, however, a surprise awaits: a supportive inner core of shredded Talalay latex.

If you love hotel pillows because they're soft yet supportive, Sattva's latex pillow can bring that comfort home. It has two layers, a shredded latex core for support and a fluffy outer layer that feels like down but won't trigger allergies. The natural latex inside lasts longer than synthetic foam. Stays cool and resists dust mites and mildew. It's medium soft, which makes it a great choice.

Frequently asked questions

It ranks #1 (S tier) on our consolidated pillows board, drawn from 31 cited sources across 21 outlets.

The Saatva Latex Pillow is for anyone who wants a pillow that keeps its shape for years and does not sink flat overnight. It is the top pick on our pillows board and the only S tier product, praised for a durable latex core, long-lasting loft and a buoyant feel that rivals pricier memory foams. If you want to fine-tune the height yourself, the Coop Eden Adjustable Pillow in A tier lets you add or remove fill. If cool sleeping is your first priority, the Purple Harmony Pillow in B tier has a hybrid grid built for airflow.

Longer than most. Reviewers praise the Saatva Latex Pillow for durable construction and a latex core that holds its loft over time, and latex is the fill that resists flattening the longest. Expect it to outlast a standard memory foam or fibre pillow. Replace it when it no longer springs back after you fold it in half.

Yes. Side sleepers need a pillow that stays tall enough to fill the gap between the shoulder and the head, and the buoyant latex core of the Saatva Latex Pillow is praised for exactly that. It does not compress flat under the weight of the head the way soft fibre pillows can. If you find any fixed-loft pillow slightly too high or too low, the Coop Eden Adjustable Pillow is the board pick that lets you change the height.

Latex is open-celled, so it breathes better than dense memory foam and the Saatva Latex Pillow should not trap heat the way a solid foam pillow does. Reviewers describe its feel as buoyant rather than enveloping, which also means less contact with your head. If you run very hot, the Purple Harmony Pillow on our board is the one reviewers single out for cool sleeping.

Do not machine wash a latex core. Remove the cover and wash that on its own, then spot clean the latex with mild soap and a damp cloth and let it air dry away from direct sun, which degrades latex. Use a pillow protector under the pillowcase to keep sweat and oils off the core. Latex does not need fluffing.
