It relies mostly on sugar alcohols to keep sugar low, which a dietitian review flags as 'can be troublesome' for digestion - the exact failure mode that emerges after months of ownership - and its macros-per-calorie story collapses under scrutiny. Kirkland Signature fills the same budget role without the gut risk.

These are still some of the cheapest protein bars out there and They have an amazing taste of them. Did your protein bars come in boxes of six and they come in a variety of different flavors, but I think that the chocolate deluxe is one of the better flavour that they have.Watch F Facebook Sherry Thompson · owner
I got this one of the pure protein bar and it was good. To me it’s not as sweet as the zigzag one was. Plus it has more protein and less calories than the zigzag one. It has a good taste and doesn’t taste like protein.View post B Break Time Reviews Break Time Reviews · 837 subscribers · Feb 2026

I used to love eating these bars but they unfortunately cause a blood glucose spike in me that’s very equivalent to eating straight up sugar. I believe the maltitol they contain is responsible for that. I’m not diabetic, but I had a CGM on for some time and was just trying to look for patterns as well as foods that cause spikes for me. Sadly, I had to get rid of these. The quest double chocolate is my go to bar and thankfully causes no issues with blood glucose spikes.Read thread C Coach Arian Coach Arian · 2.4K subscribers · Dec 2025
Overall, it's an all right bar. It depends on whether you're someone who likes peanut butter and whether you're someone who likes chocolate and peanut butter together. For me, I don't have as much peanut butter as some people who like really love it.Watch L r/LowCalFoodFinds u/Spirited_Jeweler_238 · owner
The chewy choc chip tastes like playdoh but the peanut butter and chocolate peanut butter caramel are really good. I havent tried the other ones. Edit i totally forgot, ive also tried the chocolate deluxe and salted caramel ones which were both alright. The salted caramel had a lot of potential but it was weirdly hard and the chocolate deluxe was good but not as good as the choc pb or choc pb caramel.Read thread A April Wright Facebook post
