When needed, I'd jump and then drive it for about an hour at highway speeds and it seemed to be ok, at least for a while. This past winter I took a trip to Wisconsin (I live in Minnesota) and stayed at a resort, parked outside, and the temperature dropped to about -9 over night.

They have saved us many times. You never know when your battery is going to go out and you're going to need to jump start your vehicle possibly many times before you get your new battery at least once. So, this is a case. So, yeah, the NOC Boost GB40 can be a great tool, and thousands swear by it. But there's also a decent chance you'll get one that underperforms or dies early. If you buy it, just know it's not bulletproof.

The GB40 cannot be used for trickle charging any 12-volt lead-acid or lithium-ion batteries. It does not support slow charging modes and is not designed to monitor or adjust charging amperage based on battery state of charge. If you need a device capable of both jump-starting and trickle charging, other products such as the NOCO Battery Genius 10 offer those features.

My brand-new, fully charged GB40 was unable to get my V6 3.5 L Toyota started after leaving the radio on. Followed all instructions to a T, trying with /without protect/override. Engine cranked for .25-.5 sec, but cut out before it had a chance to start. Confirmed the GB40 was still reading 100% charge per its lights after the attempts.

Noco GB40 is not to be compared with the Gooloo GP4000. The Noco is for smaller engines and the Gooloo will handle better those diesel engines. Real amp of the Noco is 244A while Gooloo is 619A, meaning Gooloo will be able to crank those dead diesel engines. Gooloo GP4000 should be compared with the Noco GB70 and the Wolfbox 4000A.

I tried to start my car with the GB40, but while it got the lights to come on, the engine just wouldn't quite turn over, and after 3 attempts, the Noco's charge was depleted. My car doesn't have a huge engine or anything (Subaru Forester), but it gets pretty cold where I live.

Uh now, this particular unit, the GB40, did come with a hard case. And, um it's pretty decent case, to be honest with you. You just got to remember to keep it charged up. Comes with a little charging cable. And, you know, that's about all I could say about the GB40. But, let's uh move on after I show you the case. There's where the the cables go. Zippers on both sides.
