The Neakasa M1 Plus is a genuinely well-designed automatic litter box that solves a real problem the enclosed litter robot category hasn’t fully addressed. The open-top structure is a structural safety advantage, not just a marketing angle. Cats can enter and exit freely, see their surroundings while inside, and leave mid-cycle without restriction.Read C

The trap door has been removed as it was a major failure point. The odour seal is now the brush seal strips on the underside of the drum. The M1 Lite also has no trap door but there are no brush seal strips to keep the odour in. I believe the M1 Lite will still be sold but I heard it will be missing the weight tracking software to price it lower.View post J
None of my cats have had any difficulties. Um, he apparently likes it. He wants to be part of this. But that open top, um, let cats get in and out of it easily. Uh, the weight range is from, uh, 2 lb basically up to 33 lb. So, it's pretty uh significant weight range. So, another interesting thing is the capacity of this. Uh the bin where the litter goes is 11.23 L, almost 3 gall.Watch F Facebook Lloyd Eisenberg · owner
This thing is an absolute game changer for cat ownership. Relatively easy to maintain, and takes all of the work out of dealing with a litter box. Not to mention the fact that at least for us it saves a lot of litter - probably enough to pay for itself over a year or so. We have had no problems with either unit (kock on wood).View post P
The open structure also prevents the risk of cats getting stuck, making it a safer and more welcoming environment. Overall, comfort sets the foundation, but automation is where daily convenience really shows. The Niaasa M one uses a gradual self-cleing mode designed to work quietly and smoothly after a cat leaves the box. I would say that the Nikasa M1 is safer between the weight sensors and infrared sensors. I think this one wins for the safety features. Can the Pet Pivot start cleaning if a cat is nearby? Yes. The open-top uh design helps eliminate that concern. Your cat can easily enter and exit while still feeling totally secure. This can be especially helpful for larger cats. This helps keep the litter cleaner between uses while significantly reducing the amount of daily maintenance required. One feature that immediately stands out is the large open top design. Its open-top layout avoids a fully closing doorway, but that design observation is not proof of safety. Some owners report easier access for large or skittish cats. Separate community posts allege over-rotation and a cat death; these are unverified reports, and Catpip found no confirmation of causation, product revision, or regulator finding.Read O
There are a number of things that need improvement, but after 5 months of long-term use, the open-design trash can has become my favorite. I do n't know why there are so few open vents, and only a few of them are a suitable size inside, and most of them are too narrow. I think open machines are the easiest for most cats to get used to, especially if they have only used a standard litter box.Watch C

It does come with a mat and it does catch most of the litter, but I do find this box does have a little bit more tracking than some of the other ones I've tried. Buyers praise the open-top design most of all. Cats that refused every dome-style box often accept this one immediately. The cleaning cycle is quiet enough that most cats do not startle. Waste stays contained in the sealed drawer with no loose litter scattered during the cycle and odor's kept inside.
