What a great first drive of the morning. And so, 236 to the flag, 224 to carry the bunker on the left. It looks like the pin's at the back and I've got an overhanging tree in front of me. So, I've got five-wood gripped down to try and help me launch it over this tree. I'm going to start it over the right and I'm gripping down because I think it's a bit too much club. Keep drawing. Keep drawing.Watch P
The Mileseey GenePro G1 rangefinder pairs a full-featured, color touchscreen GPS with an excellent laser. Loads of course data can help you make better decisions on the course. Shot tracking features take some getting used to.Read M
For me, the perfect combination is have GPS with a laser. But, it's sometimes very cumbersome to have a watch as well as a laser. Takes up a little bit of time. So, combining the two is an ideal scenario, and that's where we've now got the Malzery Genie Pro G1 rangefinder with GPS screen also on it.Watch G
The short answer: yes, and then some. The G1 isn't just a rangefinder with a GPS bolted on. It's a genuinely integrated course management tool that changes how you think about each hole before you pull a club.Read M
Super super impressed with all its features. I'm going to run through them all in this particular video. Now, when it comes to rangefinders, there's a ton of choice out on the market. We've got GPS, we've got laser. Now, this incorporates both. It's a hybrid. We've got the GPS on the side of it as well as a laser. And I think that is an absolute gamecher.Watch M
If the Mileseey GenePro G1 was only a laser rangefinder, I’d still be impressed with it. It has all of the characteristics I look for in a laser.Read B

And I managed to find this bad boy as its replacement. So, the first point that attracted me to this is the 10-year guarantee, but we have the Milesy Gan Pro G1. And this is a lovely bit of kit. We've got a screen on the side, which is 2.13 in, I believe, which is the biggest screen we have on any of these devices in the market. And we have a few different things that we can do on this.Watch D

What bugs me is the lack of any battery indicator on the display. You're flying blind until it suddenly dies mid-round. I've trained myself to charge it every Sunday night as part of my routine, but a simple battery percentage would eliminate the guesswork. The device does give you a low battery warning when you're down to about 20%, but by then you're committed to finishing your round on fumes.Read G
And after testing it out on the course, I've decided that it's good, but it's built for a very specific type of golfer. So, depending on how you actually play, this could either be a really impressive bit of kit or something that gets frustrating very quickly, which probably explains why the G1 was so heavily promoted on social media.Watch G Golfmagic Brad Nash · reviewer
The fundamental problem (for me at least) is that the G1 simply packs too much into one package for the average golfer—most of whom are simply just concerned with getting reliable, accurate distance readouts and going about their round.Read G
