What a great first drive of the morning. And so, 236 to the flag, 224 to carry the bunker on the left. It looks like the pin's at the back and I've got an overhanging tree in front of me. So, I've got five-wood gripped down to try and help me launch it over this tree. I'm going to start it over the right and I'm gripping down because I think it's a bit too much club. Keep drawing. For me, the perfect combination is have GPS with a laser. But, it's sometimes very cumbersome to have a watch as well as a laser. Takes up a little bit of time. So, combining the two is an ideal scenario, and that's where we've now got the Malzery Genie Pro G1 rangefinder with GPS screen also on it.

So, this gadget's a little bit different from what I would normally look at, but I'm excited to try it out because it is different and it's in a category that I haven't really looked at before. It's from a company called Milesy, and it's the Gan Pro G1, and it might be like the most advanced rangefinder out there.

The fundamental problem (for me at least) is that the G1 simply packs too much into one package for the average golfer—most of whom are simply just concerned with getting reliable, accurate distance readouts and going about their round.
