I do like the simplicity and ease but I have found myself many times forgetting to switch the kettle off after a session and returning an hour later to find the kettle has been heating/holding water. I think that there is too much likelihood of a lot of wasted power consumption. If you are going to buy this kettle then I would advise switching OFF the HOLD function so that it does not use excess power if you forget to switch the kettle off.

Trying to get from cool water to boiling, both struggled to get to 212f / 100c in a timely manner maybe due to my elevation level it rapidly boils before that at 210 or 211f, but sounded like it was just about boiling at 208f which took about 5 mins on the EKG Pro Studio, and about 4:45 on the regular Stagg EKG.
