Dolphin Nautilus CC Plus

P Popular Mechanics Lucas Coll · reviewer · Jun 2025

The Nautilus CC Plus, the flagship of the Dolphin line, hits the perfect sweet spot between price and cleaning performance. In addition to scrubbing and vacuuming the pool floor, this robot can climb and clean the walls. It can’t clean the waterline, unfortunately, but that’s the only notable drawback we could find.

I tested a slate of 20 robot pool vacuums in 2026 to find the best, and the Dolphin Nautilus CC Plus Wi-Fi took the top spot for corded models. It cleans my entire 14,000-gallon pool in under 2 hours, lets you schedule cleanings via app and costs significantly less than you’d expect given how well it performs.

One of the longest-lasting robots we've tested. The dual-motor design distributes load evenly and spare parts are widely available. With proper storage and filter care, 8-10 years is realistic.

Spoiler alert, this thing is a beast. Upon unboxing, I immediately noticed how comprehensive the package was. It includes the vacuum unit itself, which is attached to a 50 ft cord, a major selling point for those of us with larger pools. Plus, the cord has an anti-tangle feature, which is a gamecher. No more worrying about the cord getting twisted and hindering the cleaning process.

This is a high-performance machine that excels at cleaning, but suffers from hit-or-miss long-term reliability. If you prioritize raw scrubbing power and ease of use, it is a top contender for any in-ground pool up to 50 ft. However, before you commit, check the top line of the description box and the pinned comment for current life prices and active discounts.
