Just got the v sol pro and so far it's fantastic all around. I'm not a pro or high level but coming from a beginner I'm enjoying it a lot in the widebody. Shot placement and control seem very much improved. Maybe I'm getting better but I do think that the paddle is helping fine tune everything. I have the Friday Aura coming also to try out. Wanted to get the pro but just worried it's too much power for right now. My biggest thing to learn is not trying to crush the ball on returns .

If you have the money go with the Loco. Otherwise I would take the V-Sol Pro. The Quanta should play similarly to the V-Sol Pro but I am reading the handle of Quanta isn't very good. The handle on my V-Sol Power is quite decent.

You are also wildly overestimating how much the average rec player knows or cares about how paddles are constructed: The feel of a paddle (feedback upon impact) is a far more important input for many players, so acting like 99 out of 100 people are going to prefer the more hollow, boomy sound and stiff feedback of the V-Sol Pro to the plusher feel and muted feedback of the Prism would also be a interesting claim.

My vsol pro. it sure feels like the charecter is changing after a few months. And reviewers are commenting the same about all the foam paddles the loco, inferno, boomstick. I've determined. there ain't no paddle lasting a year with equal play throughout. It was one of my deciding factors going back to gen 3. Where gen 3 gets more powerful as it ages finding the foam gets louder. but more dead. This might be more of a floating foam core thing.

Based on what I've read, I think I would want: Hybrid Shape 16mm thickness Gen 3/4 Shorter handle Don't want to modify the paddle Edit: Went ahead and purchased the V-Sol Pro Flash, normal handle. I'll go ahead and modify it for maximum performance, so any tips about that are appreciated!
