These Picks Slice Through the Competition Every Time Article

All test tasks performed on the Breville yielded solid results, with our only complaint being that soft cheeses tended to stick to the shredding blade. Assembly is quick and aided by the manual's easy-to-follow pictures. Emulsions with oil took a little longer than with some other models, but, as with everything else we made in this machine, the results were consistent. While we appreciate the number of accessories it comes with, they do take up space, so this is only a fit for those who have some kitchen storage space to spare.

I had the opportunity to use it several times last week including making pasta sauce, pie dough, salsa, and pesto and it was worth every single penny. It turned out to be slightly more than the Cuisinart, but given it had that handy storage box it made the most sense.

Warranty and complexity. Our research found its base warranty short for the money, and its many accessories and electronics mean more potential failure points than the dead-simple Cuisinart Custom 14-Cup Food Processor (DFP-14BCNY). On pure performance it beats the Cuisinart. On the odds of still working in ten years, the Cuisinart wins, and that is what decides the top of our board.

The build standard is high, but there are two caveats in our research. The base warranty is short for a premium machine, so you are carrying the risk sooner than you would expect. And the extra electronics and accessories add places for a fault to appear. Nothing on the board reports it failing early, only that it has more ways to fail than the simpler competition.
