While still solid, the older Series 9 lacks newer firmware improvements and has a higher chance of motor wear after several years. Its build quality is good but not as refined as the Pro version, making it less future-proof.

I test grooming products for a living, and the Braun Series 9 All-In-One is my go-to day-to-day beard trimmer. It’s a premium, true do-everything tool built for versatility and performance. The Series 9 Pro+’s performance is excellent. Even as someone who typically gets on better with rotary shavers, I found it delivers a very close, smooth shave with minimal effort. Under the hood, it’s driven by a high-speed motor and a multi-element foil system designed to tackle everything from short stubble to flatter, more awkward hairs.Read J

If you want the closest, most comfortable and speediest shave and you’re not concerned about spending quite a bit to get it, the Braun Series 9 Pro is a great choice. A lot of shavers struggle with heavier stubble or wiry hair, but the Series 9 Pro+ tackles it head on. Its AutoSense motor reads your hair density in real time and boosts power whenever needed, so it won’t tug or stall. That makes it perfect for anyone who doesn’t shave daily or prefers tackling two or three-day growth.Read T
It was a night and day difference. And I'm sure you're saying the price differential is obviously there. And I understand that. But in general, the Series 9 Pro so much more gentle. And I started not just using it on my head, but also on my face anywhere I don't have a beard. And there was no irritation, like zero irritation any time.Watch S
Braun’s Series 9 Pro+ excels at gentle, irritation-reducing cutting action. This foil electric shaver is excellent for skin that reacts easily to pressure or friction, a common issue with frequent head shaving. While originally a face shaver, its smooth, close cut is praised for comfort even on sensitive areas.Read T

The Braun Series 9 Pro beard trimmer is the best all-in-one trimmer I’ve used in the 20 years I’ve been willingly growing stuff out of my face. I’ve tried tons of brands and models of electric beard trimmer over the years and used them on my face and body, and most fail the test.Read S
This is a great, fantastic all-around electric razor. One of my favorites for a very long time. And it has a quad tip um, foil razor setup right here. You can see it does go. You can lock it or you can have it more flexible like this. So, it's back and forth.Watch F
Our tester named the Braun Series 9 Pro 9419s the best electric razor for men overall based on its excellent performance. As that model has since been discontinued, we recommend its updated successor, the Braun Series 9 Pro+ 9677cc.Read D
So, very nice and smooth. Very close shave there. There's no stubble where I've shaved. Obviously, I haven't done everywhere, but uh yeah, very nice, very smooth on your face and it's uh very comfortable. So, when you're done shaving, you can either clean it manually, in which case you there's little buttons on either side.Watch B
Any of the Braun Series 9 razors are excellent foil razors. The latest models (94XX or 96XX) are at or near the top of the list for foil users (with the Panasonic Arc 5/6 being worthy competitors).Read B
The wet shave experience was great, too. When used with a bit of shaving gel, the razor delivered a comfortable, close shave. It didn't tug or pull even on longer hairs. The 100% waterproof feature also made cleaning up a breeze. I just rinsed it under the tap and the razor was good to go. As for the 5in-1 clean and charge station, I absolutely love how it keeps the razor in top condition.Watch E
That makes the economics of the Clean & Charge system considerably more favourable than the cartridge-price sticker suggests.Read B
I didn't feel any tugging or discomfort, which can happen with other razors that are not designed as carefully. In fact, it gives a remarkably close shave that feels clean without irritation, even on sensitive areas like the neck. A unique feature I've noticed is the AutoSense technology.Watch G
Winner: Braun Series 9 Pro — but it’s close, and the Arc5’s full waterproofing is a genuine advantage for travel-heavy users.Read B
In terms of performance, the Bronze Series 9 Pro exceeded expectations. Whether I used it dry or with shaving cream, the razor glided smoothly across my skin. The sonic technology definitely made a difference. I noticed that my shave was faster without sacrificing closeness.Watch I Instagram Article
Been using the Braun by Gillette All-in-One Series 9 for a few days now, and it genuinely surprised me.Read T
It's cutting it and it's not ripping my skin up either. So, those are both good things. All righty. I got those blades rinsed out. Uh, let's keep at it. Figure I'll stop that and say I smell a light burning scent. Um, get this off, too. Yeah. So, something is definitely giving off a pretty foul scent, but um that for an electric razor that that ain't bad at all. Add some more water.Watch F Facebook Article

Very poor experience with Braun shaver, series 9 pro, its is not working within an year. Have sent it to customer service team, and it’s been two weeks they are not responding! @braun global your shavers are not cheap, and within an year they stop working and customer has to keep following with you not so responsive customer service team.Read G
As I mentioned, this is the most expensive shaver we've reviewed. And whilst good, we kind of think it's a little overpriced. And that's why it's getting forced.Watch B
I have the Series 9 and really like it very much. The one area it does not cut well however is on my neck which has whiskers that are at different angles. I found the Norelco 9000 Prestige to cut the neck area much better. However overall the Braun cuts a little closer. Both are in my opinion the best electric shavers on the market.Read B
One downside though, if you're hoping for a quiet shave, this model is slightly louder than others in the Braraw lineup, especially when it's being cleaned in the Smart Care Center. Let's break down the pros and cons. Pros. The five synchronized shaving elements work seamlessly for a close shave with minimal irritation.Watch G
So if those performance stats matter most to you, I’d save the money and buy the Series 9. You’ll still get an outstanding shave, just without the upgraded materials, White Glove Service, and few of the finer regiments that make the Nevo Braun’s flagship.Read B
However, the added complexity of maintaining the station along with the need for cleaning cartridges might not be everyone's cup of tea. Now, let's talk about how it performs in real world testing.Watch R r/shaving reddit.com
It shaves pretty good on contours of your face. The side trimmer is worthless and pretty much junk on most shavers. The problem with these is there foil shaver head replacement are ridiculously overpriced! They definitely don't last no 18 months!Read B
Cons: bulkier design.Watch G
I think it’s the only real contender for the top spot on this list—perhaps that price and slightly less enduring battery are its shortcomings compared to the Philips Norelco 9000, but I do find it a superior device in terms of ease and design.Read V
For pure speed and closeness, the Panasonic is ahead. But closer isn't always better if it irritates your skin. And this is where the Braun flips the script. The Series 9 Pro Plus is the more forgiving shaver, especially around the neck and jawline. People with sensitive skin who've tried both consistently lean Braun for daily comfort.Watch G
Spoiler: the two top models from Braun and Philips haven’t quite converted me, I’m still loyal to wet shaving. Nevertheless, during this test, the electric shavers proved how convenient and enjoyable they are to use on a daily basis.Read S Shavercheck Article

I have now had three of these and they all have the same fault. After a relatively short time of shaving they cut out. Despite comments saying 'not charging' or 'motor needs cleaning' nothing stops this happening. Do not waste your money - and there is no way to get to talk to Braun - you just get fobbed off with their 'service partner'. Hopeless.Read V
If you're thinking about buying the Braun Series 9 Pro, stop right there. Because I'm about to reveal some things Amazon won't tell you. This shaver promises a close, comfortable shave with cutting-edge tech. But here's what surprised me. It's not all smooth sailing. While it claims to tackle 1, 3, or even 7-day beards effortlessly, the reality might not live up to that sleek marketing hype.Watch
