## Verdict

Ranked eighth: a well-built softside that sidesteps the hardside crack problem, held below the Travelpro and Briggs & Riley picks because Thule's luggage-specific support and parts network is less proven.

## For

- Engineered for years of abuse
- Softside construction avoids the crack-and-dent failure mode that kills hardside bags
- Overbuilt fabrics and beefy zippers built to shrug off a decade of handling
- Gear-hauling pedigree
- Strong support reputation for a brand in this bracket

## Against

- Luggage-specific support network and parts availability less established than Travelpro's or Samsonite's
- Wins no single category decisively
- Warranty is solid but not lifetime-plus-airline-damage coverage
- Long-term owner reports are thinner than for Travelpro or Briggs & Riley
- Priced above the value softsides

## What this tier means

- D: Weak. Hard to recommend when better options cost similar money.

## How to read this

- Each category is researched in four independent runs, one per lens (expert consensus, value, reliability, community pulse). Every run ranks a board of candidates that deliberately includes products buyers cross-shop but should avoid. Placements score on a ranked ladder (LP), and tiers are derived from LP, so no tier is ever assigned by hand.
- LP is this product's points on its own category ladder. It is comparable within a category and not across categories.
- Link status reports what our pre-publication link check found when it fetched the cited URL. It says nothing about the quality of the review.
- A citation with no usable link is listed rather than dropped, and is excluded from the counted total above.
