## Verdict

A low-profile, low-voltage 6000 MT/s kit that did well on AMD in tests of its Vulcanα sibling. It trailed on Intel, overclocked only averagely, and its CL38 timings are looser than the CL30 kits it competes with.

## About this product

This page covers the TeamGroup T-Force Vulcan DDR5 FLBD532G6000HC38ADC01, a 32GB desktop memory kit made of two 16GB sticks with a black stamped aluminum heat spreader and no RGB lighting. It is rated for 6000MHz at CL38 and a low 1.25V once you enable its memory profile in the BIOS. Until then it runs at the standard JEDEC speed.

TeamGroup lists both Intel XMP 3.0 and AMD EXPO support for the Vulcan DDR5 line and rates this part for Intel 700 and 800 series and AMD 600 and 800 series motherboards. At 32.7mm tall it is a low-profile kit that clears large air coolers. It suits a mainstream Ryzen build that wants 6000 MT/s in a compact, low-voltage kit.

No outlet we found tested this exact part. Tom's Hardware, Guru3D and KitGuru tested the AMD-only sibling, the T-Force Vulcanα FLABD532G6000HC38ADC01, which TeamGroup lists at the same 32GB, 6000MHz, CL38 and 1.25V with the same 32.7mm height. Tom's Hardware says the two lines look identical apart from the α on the heat spreader, so their results are the closest guide to this kit.

## For

- The Vulcanα sibling placed second in Tom's Hardware's AMD application tests, behind only a CL30 kit
- The Vulcanα sibling topped KitGuru's 7-Zip and 3DMark CPU charts on a Ryzen 7 7700X
- Low 32.7mm height clears the largest air coolers
- Rated at a low 1.25V
- Lifetime warranty

## Against

- Weak on Intel: the Vulcanα sibling sat in the bottom half of Tom's Hardware's Intel application tests
- An average overclocker: Tom's Hardware needed 1.4V to reach DDR5-6400 on the Vulcanα
- CL38 timings are looser than the CL30 kits sold at the same 6000 MT/s
- No RGB lighting, if you want it
- TeamGroup sells several 32GB 6000MHz CL38 Vulcan parts at 1.25V and 1.35V, plus the AMD-only Vulcanα, so check the part number before you buy

## Frequently asked questions

### What is the difference between the T-Force Vulcan and the Vulcanα?

The Vulcanα is TeamGroup's AMD-only line. Its FLABD532G6000HC38ADC01 kit carries an AMD EXPO profile and is listed for AMD 600 and 800 series boards. This plain Vulcan part, FLBD532G6000HC38ADC01, lists both Intel XMP 3.0 and AMD EXPO and Intel 700 and 800 series boards as well. Both are rated 6000MHz CL38 at 1.25V and stand 32.7mm tall, and Tom's Hardware says only the α on the heat spreader tells them apart.

### Is CL38 much slower than CL30 at 6000 MT/s?

Less than the numbers suggest, going by tests of the Vulcanα. It came second only to a CL30 Corsair kit in Tom's Hardware's AMD application tests, and KitGuru found it competing with memory that looks faster on paper. Tom's Hardware saw weaker results on Intel.

### Will it fit under a large air cooler?

Very likely. TeamGroup lists the modules at 32.7mm tall, and Tom's Hardware says you can fit the most oversized CPU air coolers over the matching Vulcanα without trouble.

### Do I need to change any BIOS settings?

Yes. TeamGroup says XMP 3.0 or EXPO must be enabled by hand, and until you do the kit runs at the JEDEC default, such as DDR5-4800 or lower. TeamGroup also recommends updating your motherboard BIOS before installing the memory.

### Can I overclock it?

A little. Tom's Hardware reached DDR5-6400 on the Vulcanα but had to raise the voltage from 1.25V to 1.4V, and called it an average overclocker. TeamGroup warns that running beyond the official speed, voltage or timings may affect warranty coverage.

## What this tier means

- C: Fair. Acceptable in the right situation, outclassed at its price.

## How to read this

- Each category is researched in four independent runs, one per lens (expert consensus, value, reliability, community pulse). Every run ranks a board of candidates that deliberately includes products buyers cross-shop but should avoid. Placements score on a ranked ladder (LP), and tiers are derived from LP, so no tier is ever assigned by hand.
- LP is this product's points on its own category ladder. It is comparable within a category and not across categories.
- Link status reports what our pre-publication link check found when it fetched the cited URL. It says nothing about the quality of the review.
- A citation with no usable link is listed rather than dropped, and is excluded from the counted total above.
