## Verdict

InStyle's best overall and the nicest daily-use experience here, held back from the top three by digital controls that add failure surface the analog irons do not carry.

## For

- InStyle's current best overall
- The most refined digital iron in the category
- Nicest everyday ownership experience
- Named Best Overall for 2026 in InStyle's tested guide
- Recommended by NY Post among brands for salon-worthy curls

## Against

- Digital controls, programmed heat settings and a more complex heater add failure surface an analog dial does not have
- Long-term support reputation is good but not as proven as some rivals
- Pricier than the Hot Tools picks that beat it on value
- Premium-priced route to interchangeable barrel sizes
- Costs a meaningful premium over equally capable rivals

## Flagged as one to avoid

This product entered 2 of 14 runs as one buyers cross-shop but should not buy, rather than as a pick. It is published here rather than dropped.

## What this tier means

- B: Good. A solid choice with real caveats worth knowing.

## How to read this

- Each category is researched in four independent runs, one per lens (expert consensus, value, reliability, community pulse). Every run ranks a board of candidates that deliberately includes products buyers cross-shop but should avoid. Placements score on a ranked ladder (LP), and tiers are derived from LP, so no tier is ever assigned by hand.
- LP is this product's points on its own category ladder. It is comparable within a category and not across categories.
- Link status reports what our pre-publication link check found when it fetched the cited URL. It says nothing about the quality of the review.
- A citation with no usable link is listed rather than dropped, and is excluded from the counted total above.
