## Verdict

The TC5's platform with extra controls. Nearly the same durability story, docked one place for the marginally larger failure surface.

## For

- Commercial-grade platform shared with the TC5
- Consumer Reports names Speed Queen among the most reliable agitator brands
- Backed by Yale's low top-loader service rate data
- Ranked first by the service-technician deep dive
- Good Housekeeping's top vented washer-dryer combo pick

## Against

- Extra electronic controls are a marginally larger failure surface than the TC5's purely mechanical layout
- Build-first philosophy over cleaning performance
- Feature-poor for the money
- Costs flagship money, paying off over decades rather than on day one
- Fewer mainstream lab titles than rival machines

## Flagged as one to avoid

This product entered 1 of 10 runs as one buyers cross-shop but should not buy, rather than as a pick. It is published here rather than dropped.

## What this tier means

- B: Good. A solid choice with real caveats worth knowing.

## How to read this

- Each category is researched in four independent runs, one per lens (expert consensus, value, reliability, community pulse). Every run ranks a board of candidates that deliberately includes products buyers cross-shop but should avoid. Placements score on a ranked ladder (LP), and tiers are derived from LP, so no tier is ever assigned by hand.
- LP is this product's points on its own category ladder. It is comparable within a category and not across categories.
- Link status reports what our pre-publication link check found when it fetched the cited URL. It says nothing about the quality of the review.
- A citation with no usable link is listed rather than dropped, and is excluded from the counted total above.
