## Frequently asked questions

### Who is the Secretlab Titan Evo for?

Most people. It is the consensus reference chair across Wirecutter, PC Gamer, PCMag and The Guardian, with a steel frame, up to 5 years of warranty and the widest spare-parts ecosystem in gaming chairs, and it is the only S tier chair on our board. Buy something else in two cases. If you want a chair for a decade or more, the Herman Miller x Logitech G Embody's 12-year warranty and two-decade track record beat it on long-term ownership. If you are a larger user, the AndaSeat Kaiser 4's wide, flat seat is built for you.

### How long does the Secretlab Titan Evo last?

The frame is steel and the warranty runs up to 5 years with the free social-share extension, so the structure is built for the long haul. The upholstery is the limit: the standard hybrid leatherette can peel at year 3 to 5 in hot climates. That single con is what keeps it out of the very top spot on long-term ownership, where the Herman Miller x Logitech G Embody leads.

### What goes wrong with the Secretlab Titan Evo?

Peeling leatherette is the only failure the research found. The standard hybrid leatherette can peel at year 3 to 5, and heat accelerates it, so owners in hot climates report it most. Nothing else shows a pattern: the steel frame and mechanism are not a complaint, and Secretlab's parts ecosystem means a worn component can be replaced rather than the whole chair.

### Should I buy the Secretlab Titan Evo or the Secretlab Titan Evo NanoGen Edition?

Buy the Secretlab Titan Evo NanoGen Edition if you live somewhere hot or plan to keep the chair past year three, because its NanoGen upholstery is rated more durable and directly answers the peeling complaint. It shares the same frame and the same warranty. Buy the Secretlab Titan Evo if you want the consensus pick at the lower price, or if you prefer a material with years of field data behind it, since the NanoGen upholstery is still new.

### Can you get spare parts for the Secretlab Titan Evo?

Yes, and this is one of its strongest points. The Secretlab Titan Evo has the widest spare-parts ecosystem in gaming chairs, so armrests, casters, cylinders and upholstery components can be replaced individually. Among the chairs on our board only the Fractal Design Refine is noted for a comparable parts pipeline.

## What this tier means

- S: Exceptional. Finishes top run after run; capped at 3 slots per category.

## How to read this

- Each category is researched in four independent runs, one per lens (expert consensus, value, reliability, community pulse). Every run ranks a board of candidates that deliberately includes products buyers cross-shop but should avoid. Placements score on a ranked ladder (LP), and tiers are derived from LP, so no tier is ever assigned by hand.
- LP is this product's points on its own category ladder. It is comparable within a category and not across categories.
- Link status reports what our pre-publication link check found when it fetched the cited URL. It says nothing about the quality of the review.
- A citation with no usable link is listed rather than dropped, and is excluded from the counted total above.
