## Verdict

The best-tested amplified indoor antenna across ZDNet, Tom's Guide and Wired. The amplifier is a wear point, but the build and reputation justify the slot.

## For

- ZDNet: 'It simply did the best job of any antenna I tested, pulling in distant, hard-to-reach' stations
- Tom's Guide names it best TV antenna overall
- Wired calls it 'one of the best antennas we've evaluated'
- Consistent multi-year presence on buying guides
- ZDNET's best indoor TV antenna overall in testing

## Against

- Carries an amplifier, which is a wear point
- Costs more than the Mohu Leaf or Channel Master FLATenna
- Amplified, so the amplifier is a component that can eventually fail
- Costs more than the FLATenna and Leaf, and delivers more but not proportionally more
- Built-in amplifier and its power supply are failure points the passive designs do not have

## What this tier means

- A: Excellent. Strongly recommended, beaten only by the very best.

## How to read this

- Each category is researched in four independent runs, one per lens (expert consensus, value, reliability, community pulse). Every run ranks a board of candidates that deliberately includes products buyers cross-shop but should avoid. Placements score on a ranked ladder (LP), and tiers are derived from LP, so no tier is ever assigned by hand.
- LP is this product's points on its own category ladder. It is comparable within a category and not across categories.
- Link status reports what our pre-publication link check found when it fetched the cited URL. It says nothing about the quality of the review.
- A citation with no usable link is listed rather than dropped, and is excluded from the counted total above.
