## Verdict

A proven V60 base with a single silicone switch as the only added failure point, and user reports on that switch are clean. Versatility without a durability penalty.

## For

- Built on the proven V60 body
- Single silicone switch is the only added failure point, with clean long-term user reports
- Combines immersion forgiveness with full dripper capability
- Easier for beginners than a plain V60 and less dependent on a gooseneck kettle
- More versatile and much easier for beginners than a V60

## Against

- Costs more than a plain V60 for the same basic geometry
- Silicone switch is the single wear item
- Sells at a small premium over a plain V60
- Silicone switch valve is a genuine wear point over a decade of use
- Slightly more complex mechanism than simpler steep-and-release brewers

## What this tier means

- A: Excellent. Strongly recommended, beaten only by the very best.

## How to read this

- Each category is researched in four independent runs, one per lens (expert consensus, value, reliability, community pulse). Every run ranks a board of candidates that deliberately includes products buyers cross-shop but should avoid. Placements score on a ranked ladder (LP), and tiers are derived from LP, so no tier is ever assigned by hand.
- LP is this product's points on its own category ladder. It is comparable within a category and not across categories.
- Link status reports what our pre-publication link check found when it fetched the cited URL. It says nothing about the quality of the review.
- A citation with no usable link is listed rather than dropped, and is excluded from the counted total above.
