## Frequently asked questions

### Who is the Graco SmartSense Soothing Baby Swing for?

Busy parents who want to adjust the swing without getting up. The Graco SmartSense Soothing Baby Swing sits in A tier on the strength of its Bluetooth controls, which let you change vibration and sound from a phone. If you do not care about app control, the S tier Graco Glider LX Gliding Swing is the better-built swing with a longer warranty. If you want app control with a premium frame and a lifetime base warranty, the Uppababy Mamaroo Smart Swing is the other A tier option.

### Does the Graco SmartSense Soothing Baby Swing need a phone to work?

No. The phone adds remote control, but the swing runs from its own controls. Bluetooth swings generally pair to a phone app for changing speed, vibration and sound from across the room. Keep the phone within normal Bluetooth range, around 30 feet without walls, for the remote to respond.

### What soothing features does the Graco SmartSense Soothing Baby Swing have?

Multiple vibration and sound settings plus built-in lullabies, all adjustable from the phone. Reviewers value the convenience more than any single setting. The Graco SmartSense Soothing Baby Swing has no cons recorded on our board.

### Can a baby sleep in the Graco SmartSense Soothing Baby Swing?

No. The Graco SmartSense Soothing Baby Swing is for supervised awake soothing. Safe sleep is a flat, firm surface on the back, and a swing seat is neither. Move a sleeping baby to a crib or bassinet.

### When does a baby outgrow the Graco SmartSense Soothing Baby Swing?

Stop using any swing once the baby can sit up unaided or tries to climb out, usually between six and nine months. Check the weight limit printed on the Graco SmartSense Soothing Baby Swing rather than trusting a general figure. Until then, keep sessions to about 30 minutes and keep the baby in sight.

## What this tier means

- A: Excellent. Strongly recommended, beaten only by the very best.

## How to read this

- Each category is researched in four independent runs, one per lens (expert consensus, value, reliability, community pulse). Every run ranks a board of candidates that deliberately includes products buyers cross-shop but should avoid. Placements score on a ranked ladder (LP), and tiers are derived from LP, so no tier is ever assigned by hand.
- LP is this product's points on its own category ladder. It is comparable within a category and not across categories.
- Link status reports what our pre-publication link check found when it fetched the cited URL. It says nothing about the quality of the review.
- A citation with no usable link is listed rather than dropped, and is excluded from the counted total above.
