## Frequently asked questions

### Who is the Fractal Design Refine for?

Buyers who want premium materials without leatherette and without the Herman Miller x Logitech G Embody's price. It offers mesh or fabric with no PU to flake, a glass-fibre reinforced frame, a 5-year-warranty-class support operation with a real parts pipeline, and it has the best materials per dollar of the mid-premium tier. Its only knock is a short field history. If you want a chair with decades of proof behind it, the Embody is the answer, and if you want the consensus pick, the Secretlab Titan Evo ranks above it on our board.

### How long does the Fractal Design Refine last?

Nobody can say from owner data yet, which is the one con recorded against it: it lacks the Herman Miller x Logitech G Embody's decades of field history. What it does have is a design that avoids the category's usual failure, since mesh and fabric do not peel, plus a glass-fibre reinforced frame and a support operation with a real parts pipeline to back a 5-year-class warranty.

### Is the Fractal Design Refine mesh or fabric?

Both are offered. The Fractal Design Refine comes in mesh or fabric options, and either one sidesteps the PU leatherette peeling that dominates long-term complaints about gaming chairs. Reviewers consistently praise its understated build and ergonomics.

### Can you get spare parts for the Fractal Design Refine?

Yes. The research notes a clean support operation with a real parts pipeline, which puts it in the small group of chairs on our board, alongside the Secretlab Titan Evo, where a worn part can be replaced rather than the whole chair.

## What this tier means

- B: Good. A solid choice with real caveats worth knowing.

## How to read this

- Each category is researched in four independent runs, one per lens (expert consensus, value, reliability, community pulse). Every run ranks a board of candidates that deliberately includes products buyers cross-shop but should avoid. Placements score on a ranked ladder (LP), and tiers are derived from LP, so no tier is ever assigned by hand.
- LP is this product's points on its own category ladder. It is comparable within a category and not across categories.
- Link status reports what our pre-publication link check found when it fetched the cited URL. It says nothing about the quality of the review.
- A citation with no usable link is listed rather than dropped, and is excluded from the counted total above.
